As it was Sunday the next day, Samaira and her mother left for their weekly grocery shopping. Devaki told Sam that she wants to go to the Indian Market to buy some more groceries and Sam agreed. They went to the Indian Market and were shopping . Coincidentally, Niti along with her mother and little Aakru were shopping there too. Niti told her mother that she was going to send Sam a simple text and see if she responds and she would like to take it from there.

Niti saw Sam and her mother and nudged at Vasundra. Vasundra knew the look in Niti's eye and smiled. They approached Sam and Niti called Sam. Sam was surprised to see Niti there. She smiled brightly seeing Aakru and cooed at her. Watching all of this, Devaki asked Sam who they were. Sam said "Ma, remember the small girl I told you about. I was playing with her last night and her mother and I exchanged our numbers", to which her mother nodded. Sam further said "Well this is her. This is Niti. Niti - this is my mom". Niti said hello and introduced herself and her mother. As they were all talking, Sams brother was calling her on her phone. Sam excused herself and went to speak with him. 

Niti and Vasundra thought it was the perfect time and asked Sams mother if she was looking for a possible match for Sam. Devaki was caught off guard and she took a couple of seconds and replied, "We haven't really thought about it yet. She just turned 25 a week back and we haven't had that marriage talk with her either. But I don't understand why are you asking me this all of a sudden ?". Vasundra then spoke "No ma. Actually we saw your daughter yesterday at dinner and since she told you about our very brief meeting, my daughter and I couldn't help but think that your daughter may be a good match for my son, which is why my daughter took your daughters number so she can stay in touch with her and slowly approach her. But I think this is destiny that made us bump into each other today" Devaki was surprised. She never thought something like this could happen. she had a frown on her face and Vasundra further continued "My son Harsh is 28 years old. He has his own startup company and his business has been running successfully for the past 3 years. My husband and I as his parents want him to settle down and we weren't sure on how to start the process. But then my Niti and I saw Sam and we both liked her" 

Devaki saw Sam approaching and said "I would like us to discuss about this. If you are free, we can meet up for lunch tomorrow and talk about this." Vasundra was elated but yet she wasn't sure if Devaki was convinced and agreed to meet for lunch the next day. The mothers exchanged numbers with each other and Niti took Devaki's number too. Sam smiled at them and told her mother that her brother wanted them to buy some school essentials for him on the way home. Devaki nodded and they all said their goodbyes and left.

On the way back home, Devaki seemed lost. Sam noticed her mother being off and asked her. Her mother changed the topic and Sam decided to not push the topic. Later, in the evening her parents were both lost in thoughts and she frowned as to what exactly happened that they looked off. She asked them again and they said it was nothing.

The next day, as Sam left for work, her father told Devaki to inform on how the lunch with the ladies goes. The ladies met for lunch and Devaki wanted to know more before informing her daughter about the conversation. Devaki initiated the topic by starting "So from our yesterdays conversation, you want your son to settle down. Is that right?" to which Vasundra nodded with a smile. Devaki further asked "Did you speak with your son about arranged marriage? Not a lot of kids now a days agree for arranged marriage as they would like to find their own partner and some kids succumb to arrange marriage due to extreme family pressure." Vasundra said "First of all is it ok if I call you by your name?" and Devaki smiled and replied "We are trying to get to know each other for now. So please address me by my name." Vasundra then said "My daughter and her husband asked Harsh if he was dating anyone and he said he isn't dating anyone. My husband and I asked him too and his answer was the same. Harsh is a very straightforward man. He said he is open for an arranged marriage and that was the reason we decided to go forward." Devaki was somewhat convinced and further asked some basic questions to get to know the family better. As the lunch meeting came to an end, Devaki liked Vasundra and Niti and told them that she will speak at home and she will talk to Sam about everything and let them know.

Vasundra was happy hearing it from Devaki and smiled at her said "Yes please. We will be waiting for your call" They all parted ways after lunch and Devaki seemed much happy and briefed her husband about their conversation. He told her he will speak to her once he gets off from work. Later, in the evening Devaki filled Ram up with everything that happened and he was very happy. He told her "Now. We must talk to Sam about all this" and Devaki frowned and asked "Do you think she will be ready for this possible new change in her life? What if she's scared and says she's not ready or even worse if she gets angry at us" Ram convinced her by saying "She will definitely agree. Just be patient if she gets upset and talk to her. She will understand" She sighed and thought hopefully Sam agrees without getting angry.

Devaki knew how exactly to put Sam in a good mood. After all, both mother and daughter had extreme sweet tooth and they liked the exact same desserts too. Devaki made Sams favourite Kheer (Rice pudding) and Sam grinned like a child looking at it. She joked that her mother wants to make her fat so she can make fun of her chubby daughter. Devaki told "Well when you go to your in-laws after marriage, you will miss all this". Sam laughed and sat down for dinner. After dinner, Devaki told Sam that she wants to go on a drive with Sam. Sam knew what it meant.

Right from the day, Sam got her drivers license, the mother and daughter would go on a drive to talk with each other more freely, not that they couldn't at home. They preferred to go to the place where they started out first and sit in the car and talk and make proper decisions. It has always worked for them and Devaki wished for it to work this time too.

Sam and her mother started out on the drive. Her mother slowly started the conversation and told Sam everything. She further said that her dad and her wanted to know Sams opinion and they would be happy if she gives the new family a chance. Her mother said "listen Sam, I know you just turned 25 and I know we never spoke to you about this for the longest time. But when such nice people come up to you with a good intention, you never neglect them. What do you think?" Sam had an expressionless face and she was surprised more like shocked to say the least. She never thought such kind of events could happen. She looked at her mother with the same expressionless face and said "I don't know. I need to think. This is all too sudden for me. Plus I am ...." Devaki knew what she was about to say and stopped her and said "You will have the upper hand here. Trust me. Think about this. Let me know soon." Sam let out a sigh and nodded. They returned home and Sam was silent all the while. She took her phone out and texted "I need to talk to you. How about our place tomorrow at 6? Its important" she got a ping within 5 minutes and it showed "All ok? Sure our place at 6." Sam replied "Yeah all ok. I think its better if we meet though" and went to bed.
