That night Sam texted her friend Kaushal and they decided to meet the coming Friday. She was looking forward to meeting her friend after a while. Meanwhile, she was also hoping that the date goes well and she decided to have an open mind and give the process a try.

Harsh thought the same too and he was glad that his sister was helping him settle down in life. He was looking forward to get to know Sam and decide further after the first meeting. Thinking about how the date would go, he was lost in thoughts.

Soon it was Friday and as planned Sam and her friend met and they were catching up with each others lives. Kaushal teasingly asked Sam "So...Anything new in your life?" and Sam smiled and nodded. Kaushal asked "What? And you didn't tell me? Tell me right now" Sam told her everything and Kaushal was excited for Sam. She advised Sam to explore her options and take it slow and that she should listen to her guts. Sam felt she had more clarity and left for home happily.

The next day was Saturday and Harsh woke up and quickly got ready for his meeting. He left for his meeting. After his meeting, he reached home right on time for lunch. Niti was busy feeding Aakru, his mother asked him to join them for lunch. He nodded and went to his room and changed and came downstairs for lunch. While having lunch, Niti told him to make sure Sam was feeling comfortable as it is important for a girl to be comfortable to talk to a man. And in their situation, it was important that Sam was comfortable enough to talk him. He made a mental note of what his sister told him. He assured her that he will make sure of everything.

Coffee date

Sam reached the coffee house Harsh had texted her. She felt nervous and gave a prep talk to herself in the car before she walked out. She entered the coffee house and texted him that she had arrived.  Harsh found Sam looking lost at all the tables trying to find him and he waved his hand so that she could identify him. She identified him and walked to the table. She smiled and said hello to him. she sat down opposite to him. Harsh remembered what his sister told him. He started with basic conversations and Sam was able to engage the conversation with him. He asked her "Hey sorry, I forgot to ask what would you like to have?" Sam said "I will have a white chocolate mocha latte. Thanks" He smiled and said "Ok. I will go and place the order. I will be right back." Sam nodded and she felt a bit at ease if not completely. Soon, Harsh brought their drinks to the table and gave her the latte she had asked for. She asked him what he got and he said "I like their hazelnut latte here. So I got that" listening to him, she nodded. He asked her if she liked her drink and she said she smiled and said "Yes. I like the drink". As she was sipping her drink he asked she was on board with arranged marriage whole heartedly as he wanted her to be open with him about her thoughts, so he knew what was in her mind and he didn't want to force anything on her. 

She liked the very fact that he was straightforward and said "Yeah I said yes to my parents for arranged marriage. And I agree with you , it's good to know what is on the other persons mind sooner than later. I wanted to ask the same question to you. I mean it was your sister, your mother and my mother who decided that we should meet and get to know each other and I was told you were on board too. But I wanted to know if you actually were on board" Harsh said "Well. My family wanted me to think about getting settled down and I agreed with them because I felt it was around that right age to start thinking about settling down and that is when my sister and my mother told me about you. So I thought why not? And here I am " Sam hummed in response while sipping her drink and they both spoke more with each other and felt that the initial awkward phase was gone. Sam felt hesitant still but she was no longer feeling nervous or awkward. She felt good that she able to converse without having an uncomfortable pause in between. Sam thought he was cute when he smiled.  Meanwhile, Harsh thought she was still hesitant with him which he found normal considering the fact that they both were complete strangers to each other but yet he enjoyed talking with her and found her cute. He wanted to get to know her more. They spent a couple of hours at the cafe and decided to leave for home.

After Sam reached home, she told her family that she felt comfortable talking with him and that she had a good time. She texted her friends everything and she was looking forward to get to know Harsh more as a friend first if anything and then decide the rest later. Harsh, on the other hand informed his family that he liked talking with Sam and he had a good time and asked what time were they visiting her house the next day for dinner. His sister gave him a teasing smile and he glared at her playfully. His mother smiled teasingly too and said "We are going at 7 pm tomorrow. Her mother texted me their address just a few minutes back. Why?" He shrugged and escaped their teasing by playing with Aakru. His mother called Devaki after a while and informed her that her son liked talking with Sam and he seemed interested in getting to know her more. Devaki was glad and said Sam liked talking to him too and that she will meet her the next day. 

Both the families were happy as Sam and Harsh liked talking with each other in the first place and wished that they both end up liking each other.

The next day was a busier one at Sams house. Sam helped her mother by cleaning the house and her father and brother were busy arranging the patio as it was summer time. By the time they finished all the cleaning, it was afternoon. Her father suggested her mother to take nap and start making dinner after the nap, as she had already done the prep while the others were cleaning. She agreed and took an hour long nap. She felt refreshed after her nap and asked Sam to help her in the kitchen. While Sam was helping her, she asked Sam "What are you going to wear today?" Sam was actually thinking of what to wear and she said "Ma. I don't know what to wear. I mean its just a casual dinner yeah, so I am clueless on what exactly to wear. I need your help" Devaki responded by saying "How about a salwar suit? That boys whole family is coming over so why not wear a simple salwar " Sam agreed and helped her mother with cooking. By 6 pm, Devaki was done with cooking and Sam helped her clean the kitchen too and everything was ready. Devaki asked Sam to start getting ready as the Srinivas family will be there soon.

Sam looked at her closet and sighed. She saw her pink salwar and decided to wear that. She had minimal makeup on her face and added her bindi and wore her bracelet. For her hair, she decided to keep it simple too by adding a center clip. Satisfied with her look, she sent a picture to her friends. She went to her parents room and asked them if she looked fine. Her father smiled and said "Kanna, you look good in every clothes" and her mother joined too "Yes. You look good and I like that your makeup is minimal, it highlights your natural tone better. Now help me with my clothes." Sam helped her mother with her clothes and went back to her room. She was excited to meet Harsh again.

Meanwhile, Vasundra told Harsh to buy some flowers before they reach Sams place. He stopped at a nearby florist and picked a beautiful bouquet. Niti on the other hand, bought some chocolates too. They left for Sams place. Harsh was excited to meet Sam. He wanted to talk to her more and see her.

Soon, they reached Sams place. Vasundra and Niti went ahead first and rang the doorbell. Devaki opened the door and gave them a warm welcome. Soon, Mr Srinivas came in holding little Aakru. Niti gave the chocolates to Devaki and asked where Sam was. She said "she is in her room. I will call her down" and called Sam. Within 5 minutes, Adi and Harsh reached. Harsh rung the bell and Vishnu opened the door. They shook hands and got introduced to each other. Sam came down from her room at that moment. She saw little Aakru and smiled at her. Aakru gave her a toothy grin. She felt someone staring at her and saw Harsh.
