Author-chan note: BTW not every chapter is gonna be like the literal next day from the last. I can skip a few days, weeks, or even months sometimes if I think it isn't important to the story.

I'm also aging Gojo and Kumori's generation to be a tad bit younger. By the time all this catches up to the manga they'll be 22 instead of 28. At the moment they're 15ish. Maki's 10 and Megumi and Itadori are like 9. Why? Because the common age to marry is 28 but Gojo isn't there and isn't gonna be there for god knows how long so...It's also easier to implement older sibling figures for Itadori's generation.

Also if you understand the Japanese school system you know that highschool is only 3 years with it starting in 10nth grade for us. In the Jujutsu world canonically the school year goes for four years, 3rd years and below can participate in the Goodwill Event arc. Not too important to the story more of just perspective for my dear readers.

Kumori zipped her final belongings up in her suitcase. The start of the school year was just a few weeks ago. She had adjusted to school life relatively well. She and Shoko knew to steer clear if the boys were deciding to be mischievous.

She  learned to be accustomed to everyone's little quirks. Sometimes it was petty arguments or even cheats, but at the end of the day they were all still friends.

You're probably wonder what Kumori was doing getting her belongings to head out the school. To put it simply, she just got expelled and was reminiscing what little memories she had made.

Just kidding.

The Zenin clan was calling her back and it was a week break anyways so it seemed fitting. She did the last buttons to her uniform before stepping out. Break or not, she did her usual routine, walking to the gardens and pulled out a book while she allowed for nature to consume her. Kumori knew it wasn't long before she'd see her friends concoct something idiotic to entertain her.

Getou was usually the first one out, always waving her a good morning before getting breakfast. Then he'd come back and congregate, often times with extra food he'd offer her. She always refused, so he saved it for Gojo. Today, he came back with his own suitcase in tow.

Gojo was the second to appear, but never in the direction from the dorms. It would be random, from the principal's office, the classrooms, the school gates, the meditation grounds, the library, the training area, twice from the trees, once from the koi fish pond. That's why she never said she woke up first. Besides his suitcase was already there before she got here. Today it was from the principal's office, unkempt uniform and all.

Shoko was almost certainly the last one, opting to take as much time as was allowed. Since it was break Kumori didn't expect to see her up and about this morning. But when Kumori heard light grumbles followed by wheels being towed she could guessed it was her.

"Couldn't sleep in this morning?" Getou made light conversation.

Shoko only glared at him. "You know this wasn't my choice." Kumori almost smiled at her friend's bickering.

"You know, it's break. You don't have to be studying," Gojo observed. He was leaning on the tree while she sat below him.

Kumori turned the page before answering him. "I know that but Southern American Voodoo is pretty interesting. They were lowlife shamans that lived openly among humans, to the point that the higher ups had to step in before they showed the real world of curses to humans," she didn't take her eyes from the book. She may have resented some of the training she had to endure as a child, but she was no less a bookworm.

Gojo only crouched down to her eye level, an odd sight to see, him and his lanky figure and all. Then he'd pluck the book out her hands, flip through enough to get the gist and actually have a discussion. Shoko tells her they sound like they're arguing. But then Getou would get in on the conversation.
