It's been a week since Kumori met her fiancé. They were all back at the college now. Gojo and Kumori had decided that they would withhold from telling their friends about their...arrangement. The two had also convinced their families that an engagement ring wasn't necessary, so there was nothing to prove.
She hadn't spoken to Gojo since their meeting with their families. Though she did try to shake the feeling of missing his presence when they did depart.
She sat in the garden watching her friends fooling around, Shoko right next to her. Memories of last week starting clouding her mind. Back in the car her mother hounded her with questions. "Why didn't you tell me you went to school with the six eye boy? Who tied your kimono for you? Did you just have sex?!"
Kumori gaped at her mother for the ridiculous questions. "Um...I didn't think it was that important. Gojo-san–I mean Satoru-kun tied it for me. And no we did not just have sex."
"Oh thank the gods," Her mother heaved a sigh. She placed a hand underneath her daughter's chin, slightly pinching her as she forced her to turn her face. "I don't know what I would've done if you've been deflowered."
Deflowered? People still use that? But that got her thinking. The loss of her virginity would mean breaking this whole engagement. But as she watched as Gojo attempted a walking handstand, which he managed to accomplish finally after the 7th try, she thought to herself. Was this really horrible?
All their talks together were close to enjoyable, making him tolerable in her opinion. She knew he wouldn't try anything she didn't want. Besides they probably weren't gonna see much of each as adults anyways. But that option was always gonna be there.
"What are you thinking about?" Shoko's bored voice asked her.
Kumori snorted. "Like you actually care."
"You're right. I usually don't but it's you. It probably isn't gonna be something preposterous like Gojo's. Or just Getou complaining about that white haired brat," Shoko responded.
"I'm a Zenin. My problems are probably as preposterous as Gojo's and it's most certainly gonna be me complaining," Kumori gave a shit-eating grin.
Shoko breathed out her nose. "You're right. Forget I asked."
"Zenin, head to the principal's. Everyone else we'll be heading to the library today," Masamichi's voice ordered them.
"Someone's in trouble~" Gojo's annoying voice teased.
"Shut up," Kumori shot him a glare, but her stomach sort of dropped. She was considering all the possibilities of a meeting with the principal. Best case scenario, she'd be ask to do an errand. If so why not just ask Gojo, he's faster and more experienced anyways. Worst case scenario, she'd meet her parents in that office.
She braced herself as she tore the door of the principal's office open, creating a loud bang. "Was that really necessary, Zenin-chan?" Kumori's sweat dropped. She hadn't intended to open the door that roughly.
"Sumimasen, kouchou-sensei," she bowed at a 90 degree angle. "You asked for me?" Her black eyes glanced around the room, no sign of her parents, and the level of cursed energy coming off her principal were in low amounts so he didn't seem mad at her.
"I have a mission for you."
"Oh. Okay sir. What's it about?"
"The higher ups have decided to give you a Grade 1 mission for you to complete on your own," her principal said.
Was she hearing this right? "Then that means..." Kumori whispered.
"Yes. With the completion of this mission you will be made a Grade 1 sorceress," her principal had an amused glint in his eyes. "I know this won't be a problem for you."
