Heheh... so the amount of ANGST I put into this one is just...😃This is kinda the end of Arc 3 but I'm doing one last filler chapter next.

Edit 12/25/21: I'm redoing the end of this chapter in lieu of the movie and my heart hurts. Also my writing was shitty.

Kumori pressed the scarf deeper into her neck, pulling it up to at least her mouth to fight off the cold. Her overall uniform for the winter didn't change from summer or spring. She added a cloak to cover her shoulders and a scarf and called it a day.

She stood next to her boyfriend and old teacher, briefing him. "Are you sure it was him?" Yaga asked.

"I can't mistaken cursed energy, and it was all over the scene months ago," Gojo said. "I can't seem to find him either."

"And you Zenin? Could you track him down?"

"I haven't seen Suguru since last year. And even then I'm still not sure if it really was him," Kumori said not looking at the two.

She had went on with her life after Getou left, for that was her way. She didn't wallow up in her sorrows, she chose to move on. She was on a solo mission, exorcising several dozens of grade 1 curses. As she wiped the blood on her katana she heard a familiar voice from behind her, but she didn't turn around.

"A katana now? What happened to your little needles?"

"I switch up occasionally. It's better to be an all around player."

"You know, I had placed a Sukuna finger here just to summon a bunch of powerful curses," Getou's voice echoed from behind her. She noticed that he was more carefree now than he was ever in school.

"And what for?" She asked him, she still didn't turn around.

"Because I was bored. Might as well aid my fellow shamans while I have some free time right?" His amused voice was unsettling to her.

"Suguru, we both know you're not a man who'd do something like that for 'fun'. You're helping humanity, and I doubt you really wanna do that," Kumori's voice was flat. "What do you really want?"

"I can't say hi to an old friend after not seeing her for a whole year?" He asked her innocently.

"You're the reason why I haven't seen you in over a year. You were the one who left us," Kumori hissed.

"Yeah for a reason. And I even helped you exorcise some curses," Kumori could hear the pout from Getou. "You know I don't hate you. Nowhere near as much as you probably do."

Kumori looked up to the evening skies, a mix of orange and red hues painting it. "Unfortunately I don't hate you either Suguru. Not yet at least."

"Really? Well then I guess this makes this easier," Getou smiled.

"Finally you're telling the truth," Kumori sheathed her katana. "What is it?"

"Join me, in this fight to save shamans, Kumori."

Kumori stayed silent, from shock or something else she couldn't tell. "And what makes you think I'd ever do that?" She took a step, not actually caring about his answer.

"Because I know your moral compass is fucked up more than other shamans out there." Kumori froze. What the fuck was he talking about?

"I know you probably spoke with Tsukumo-chan a lot more that day. And I've seen you talk about non-shamans. There isn't much love there is it?"

Kumori hesitated wondering if she should be talking. "If they get in my way, you're right, I have no love for them. But I also believe we're here to protect them. That doesn't mean they can't help us either."
