Play the song while you read. Please play the song while you read. I'm sobbing from the song and my own writing.

Gojo didn't remember the last time he had slept. Or when he ate. Or how many people had gone in and out of that room. Everyone except him.

Itadori and Kugisaki had left food by his door on numerous occasions, but he had not touched it. When he came back, it'd be gone. When he opened the door again, there was a new plate waiting for him.

He had always had trouble sleeping anyways. It only got worse after everything with Getou...both times with Getou. He'd just lie on his back, looking out the window until his eyes became heavy. But ever since she had uttered those words he just couldn't.

And that was what he was doing now, for longer periods of time. He thought the elders knew not to bother him at the moment. He hadn't gotten any mission requests since. He watched as the world moved on peacefully, like everything was ok.

It must have been a week from her recovery did he finally look up into a human face. But it wasn't by choice.

"That's it! I'm tired of you mellowing around," Kugisaki declared as she stormed into his makeshift room at the college. Itadori and Megumi followed suit, nodding their heads in agreement.

"So you're just not gonna let me mourn?" He grumbled from his seat on the couch. Itadori had his arms crossed as he flitted his eyes back and forth from Gojo to Kugisaki. Megumi had his hands in his pockets as he slouched, the boy just as tired as he. Kugisaki had her hands on her hips.

"She's not dead you know," Kugisaki rolled her eyes. She was being merciless, and she knew it.

"What she means..." Itadori pushed her aside, thinking his talking would be nicer than anything that could come out of her mouth. "We're very worried about you sensei, and this isn't like you."

"Really? I couldn't tell," Gojo said sarcastically. "It's not like the love of my life just went and forgot about me, and it's totally not my fault that she did."

"My turn," Megumi said as he pushed them both away. "I think you should stop moping. The world isn't gonna stop just because Kumori-nee forgot about you."

Gojo physically flinched.

"Actually, that's not a good idea either," a fifther voice echoed in the room. The familiar eyebags of Shoko Ieri stepped into the room. "Encouragement like that will just send him into a spiral of not stop work until he drops dead, or a cursed spirit kills him, whichever comes first."

"Like another force other than myself could ever kill me," Gojo snorted. But it was half-hearted, a hole still prevalent in his heart.

"I have to talk to Gojo-sensei," Shoko turned to the kids. They only nodded as the filed out of the room. She sat herself down, lazily leaning herself back. "She's right about you stop moping though. The world needs you."

"Gee, like I haven't heard that one," Gojo rolled his eyes as he kicked himself back to lie down on the cough, his long legs hanging over the edge. "I don't exactly want the world to need me at the moment."

"Well, the world also needs Kumori, but not in this state," Shoko said from her side across the room.

Gojo played with the strands in front of his face. "Are they gonna kill her accidently? She holds too much power and they're scared that she'll turn?"
