I made the executive decision of just combining the Intro, Curse Womb, Cursed Training, and vs. Mahito arc, then the Kyoto Goodwill event will be its own short little arc. If I don't this some y'all are gonna be confused and I'm gonna run out of symbols to use. 😅

"No kiss goodbye to your loving boyfriend who's about to go off to battle?" Gojo was hugging from behind, nuzzling his face into the crook of her neck. He was off to a trip onto the other side of Japan today, and was awfully pouty and touchy that morning.

"You act like you're the only one going," Kumori snorted. "I have my own mission Satoru, and we best be off." She peeled his arm from her waist and walked off, but not before he grabbed her wrist.

Kumori internally sighed, already knowing what was about to happen. She closed her eyes and just let him pull her into that kiss he so desperately wanted. He was so childish, but also so much more taller than her. When she felt her body turn, a calloused hand immediately cupped her left cheek, tilting it to capture her lips.

Kumori didn't think she could ever be bored with one of his kisses. She wasn't gonna say something cheesy, like how it tasted like their first time, every time. That would be romantic but not accurate. They were only 20 years old, and yet, they have both gone through too much shit to be considered not wise.

Gojo Satoru didn't make her stomach flutter anymore, and it's been like that since that night on the beach. There wasn't that shot of adrenaline, dopamine, or even serotonin. And as depressing as that sounds, she preferred it that way. She had her healthy dose of adrenaline  in her line of work anyways. Well...now that she thought about that doesn't sound all that healthy, but still.

Adrenaline, serotonin, and dopamine were all necessary, but no less addicting. Like a drug, all three will give you a fine sense of rush, leaving the patient wanting more and more. And that's not what Kumori needed in love.

No, she didn't like it when her hands were clammy and shaking. When her heart skipped a beat, her eyes dilated, her breath hitched in anticipation. She didn't like it. Hitched breath only meant she was waiting on someone else, and she hated to do that.

Perhaps that was one of her toxic traits, the inability to have trust in others. Or her inability to show vulnerability, but who's fault is it truly? But her relationship wasn't like that.

Gojo didn't make her heart flutter, but he did make her blush occasionally. When he touched her, often holding her from her back, her stomach didn't twist. No, he made her feel at peace. Him and his hyperactive, childish self, made her calm. Because as much as she was afraid to, she couldn't deny that he made her feel safe.

When they let go, he was still holding her cheek, a smirk on his face. "Then I guess I'll just give you one," He had his head resting on her forehead.

She placed a hand on the hand that was resting on her cheek, tapped it twice before stepping away. "Well, you got your kiss. We best be off now," She said turning away. He didn't let go of her hand however, but it was more limp than it was before.

"Kumori," His voice was soft, not really serious, just more quiet than usual. "How come you never show that you love me? I don't even remember the last time you said 'I love you'."

Kumori turned her head, a brow raised slightly surprised. Did he really feel like that? "Affection doesn't come to me I don't know...naturally? I'll say 'I love you' for holidays and your birthday though," she said sheepishly. She almost laughed seeing that he was being pouty. "For now though..."

She bounced up, holding her right hand to his face, and kissed his left cheek. "But seriously, we gotta go now." And turned to leave, deciding not to look back.
