Kumori placed her hand on the bark of the tree. She knelt down and touched the shadow of the tree and used surveyor. Everything turned black and white as she looked at the surrounding shadows. It was more difficult to see than a building, because of the size of the forest, and because it was a forest in itself.
Every leaf, every critter, every animal creates a shadow which was annoying for her eyes when all she needed to see were cursed spirits. She was scanning the perimeter of the forest while her friends went to help Mei Mei and Utahime. A rustle from behind her.
Kumori shot her head back and released a needle. She heard a hiss coming from whatever she hit and ran to it, making sure to stay close to the shadows. When she got there it was a measly cursed spirit, not even a grade 2 writhing on the forest floor.
Kumori sighed as she waved her hand, easily exorcising it. "I should be getting back to the others. There was nothing of imminent danger in this forest anyways."
As she walked back to the mansion, she observed the structure of the place. It was quiet with the exception of the birds, but that was just part of the ambiance of this place. She was glad they had a mission to Hamamatsu. It wouldn't be hard to convince the others to stay and sight see or something. She'd want to look into the musical instruments this city was so known for, while the others went shopping or something.
When she stepped through the gates of the mansion, a portion of the gorgeous Queen Anne tower of the house separated from the building, as if there was a point of gravitational point that made that part implode in itself.
Kumori deadpanned staring at the ball of bricks and stone. "Satoru no baka..." she walked towards the building and saw three figures standing looking down into a shallow chasm.
Scratch that four people when she heard the familiar voice of Utahime yelling at Gojo. "I didn't ask for your–"
The gigantic cursed spirit came up from behind Utahime, Kumori quickly raising her hand to shield the older girl, but Getou took care of that, commanding an even bigger spirit to gobble it up.
"It's not nice to pick on the weak Satoru," Getou chastised as he step forward to reveal himself.
"Oh yeah? Then who do I pick on? Certainly not someone strong," Gojo smiled. Kumori swatted the taller boy's head.
"What the hell do I keep telling you?" She looked down at the whining boy from her attack. "And you couldn't have ruined another part of the building?"
"Geto-san. You're indirectly teasing her too y'know," Mei Mei giggled. He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly before bowing to Utahime in apology.
"Utahime! Are you okay?" Shoko made herself known. Utahime immediately ran to the younger girl.
"Shoko! The only person who's nice to me!" Utahime squeezed the girl. "Don't become like those two. And Zenin, keep your fiancé in check."
"Geh?" Kumori scrunched her nose. "You couldn't have used another word, Utahime-senpai?" At this point the entire Jujutsu world knew of Kumori and Gojo's engagement, much to the couple's dismay.
"Does boyfriend sound better?" Mei teased, a knowing smirk on her face. Kumori only deadpanned at that.
"I guess it's better than fiancé. We're only 17, it's weird telling people we're engaged," Gojo said shrugging. "I'm down."
Kumori pinched the space between her eyes. "Fine. Now on to business. Where's the curtain?"
She was met with silence as her three Tokyo Tech students stared back at her. "You fucking imbeciles."
