Why is receiving flowers such a heart touching moment?

Here is my opinion:

Flowers are fragile yet colourful. Just like a human being; whose emotions are fragile as they rely on the context/situation yet those very emotions along with the events of life a human experiences are colourful; like blue (sadness), yellow (happiness), red (aggression) etc. Flowers need constant care and so do humans.

So when someone buys you flowers, it depicts that they care for the fragility and the colours that are a part of your being.

In much simpler words, it shows that the giver cares for your emotions and will support you in various moments of life.
