Home Sweet Home

Some fancy skills I wanted to hone
Wanted to keep drenched in morality;
My very bones
Was I only capable of a mere travesty?
How even was my mentality forgone?

Who actually understood; that negative mostly outshone
Positive and the long term assiduity?
A snap of fingers is what it takes to cut your core
From the long-inculcated rationality.

Needed just a drop of light to guide me home.
Jagged uphill hikes with torn shoe-soles,
To not lose sight of the droplet in the calamity
I squinted and found stable footing on a wolfish stone.
Letting out another huff, I found myself at serenity.
Because there, awaited an ocean of similar luminous drops.
I smiled jubilantly,
At last, I was home.

Home Sweet Home.
