.The brutality of the question; "What happened to your face?" was a constant reminder of the accident. The horror struck look on the faces of people when they saw my face; harboring a big mark lying hideously between my cheekbone and jawline, rendered me hurt and speechless. I hated the scar but the reactions of everyone made me hate it even more. I had gotten it when a car had leaped recklessly through the crossroad at a red light and slammed head first in to the driver's side of the car I was driving.
Can't people just accept a person's scars as well as his beauty?
