Laughter bubbled out of my throat at my friend's antics as she tried to salvage the crumbling-apart cake."Yikes!", she said as it started to crack when she tried to set it on the serving plate and it elicited another giggle from me, which I had to conceal with a cough due to the glare my friend had fixed in my direction. Well, there goes my amusement out of the window...
We looked at each other for a bit then let out soft smiles.
"Well, can you help me now?", she raised an expecting eyebrow.
"You were the one who did not want my help in the first place".
"Well, I wanted to celebrate your result and this was supposed to be my grand gift because you know I just can't cook; even if my life depended on it", she gave the tumbled cake the stink eye and huffed.
"Well we can always make small balls of cake and dip them in melted chocolate", I grinned.
"Yeah, that will work I guess", she smiled.
