What makes steadfastness different from stubbornness?

Their reasons?

When you take a solid stance upon the thing you believe to be right for you, it's called being steadfast.
When you are fixated upon a thought while everyone else is telling you to get rid of that absurd notion, it's called being stubborn
Right?

But if in your opinion you are being steadfast then aren't you being stubborn in the eyes of the person who is not supportive of you?
