I remember the day when my friend tried to plan a birthday surprise for me.She was to come at my home straight from her university. She texted my mom about how she would bring a cake and a gift to surprise me.
Unfortunately for her, I was the one who read it and came to know about everything. She had sent a message on my number asking what day would be appropriate for us to take a break from our busy schedules and celebrate my birthday. I laughed at it and texted her 'let me see... I'll tell you later'.
When my birthday came, I kept on pestering her through texts; for instance: 'where are you?', 'what are you doing?', 'do you have assignments to do after reaching home?', and she kept saying she was really busy that day in a vain try to avoid spilling the secret that was no more a secret at that time.
When she arrived and got to know about me knowing everything, she shrugged non-chalantly and said, "It was my first time planning a surprise so I should be excused from the mistakes".
It was hilarious.
