A gut wrenching wail erupted from my throat as I went over my life; being a dusty single soldier.
Two clear and fresh streams of water made their way from my eyes down to my chin - where they adhered to each other and dropped onto my already wet shirt.
Warm red liquid oozed out while a metallic smell filled the air as my haphazardly cut nails pricked the palm of my clenched fist.
A ringing sound in my ears aided all the provocative emotions and I hunched over in an attempt to bawl every last demolishing emotion out of my fucking brain.
A pounding headache had me rubbing my temples; to which tendrils of hair were sticking, courtesy of the anxiety-induced perspiration.
I groaned as my back hit the floor with a thud. I tried to sit up while I squinted my droopy eyes in the dark to make out the time on the clock which sat on my nightstand - which clearly indicated that sunrise was imminent at any second then. The hues of orange, red and blue started to glide up in the sky as if on cue.
The only thing which I got from the dream - should I even call it a dream? - was:
'Stop crying your heart.
Days will come for you, for us.'
