For the rest of our vacation, Van and I stayed inside our hotel room making love. Kahit gusto naming sulitin yung time to travel, we cannot also get enough of each other so we just chose to stay.

"We have a lifetime to do all of these." he said one time after I rant about strolling in Tokyo to buy things for Papa and Venice but I can't because I feel sore.

Nasa may veranda ako habang kausap sina Amara at Arielle habang nasa loob naman si Van at nags-shower. Lumabas na alam pala nila ang tungkol sa proposal ni Van kaya sila nagc-congratulate sa akin. Arielle cannot help her excitement knowing I am the one who'll get married among the three of us. Amara is silent though. I know she's having a problem with her relationship. After all, having an LDR is not that easy.

Pagkatapos ay pumasok na din ako sa loob para maghanda ng kakainin namin. We also started packing our things because we'll go home tomorrow. Papa and Venice doesn't know yet about Van's proposal. I mean, they know it will happen eventually, but they didn't know that it already happened.

Tumunog ang cellphone ni Van kaya naman ako na ang lumapit dahil naliligo pa siya. Kumunot ang noo ko ng makitang si Venice ang tumatawag. I was about to answer it when the call ended. May pitong missed calls na siya simula pa kanina. My brows furrowed. I tried calling her back pero hindi na sya sumasagot.

"Hey..." I felt Van behind me. Basa ang buhok at hindi pa nakakapagbihis bukod sa towel na nakatakip sa ibabang parte ng katawan nya.

"Venice called." I said. He nodded at me.

"What did she say?"

"I didn't manage to answer. Pinatay nya agad e. But she has seven missed calls." I said. Kumunot ang noo ni Van bago kinuha sa akin ang cellphone nya. I grabbed a shirt to hand it to him while he's checking his phone. Ni-dial nya at nilagay sa tenga pero hula ko ay walang sumasagot.

"She's not answering." he said. Tumango at inabot din ang cellphone ko.

"I'll call Papa." sabi ko na lang. Van nodded.

I tried calling Papa but he's not also answering. Nagsimula na akong kabahan. Hindi naman kasi tumatawag ng ganoon kadami si Venice. And we are face timing her every night so I cannot see the reason for her calls. Kahit si Papa ay hindi sumasagot.

Ako:

Pa, please pick up. What's happening there?

I sent the message to Papa. Van is trying to call Venice. Ilang sandali pa tumunog ang cellphone ko para sa tawag ni Papa. Mabilis ko yung sinagot.

"Hello."

"Pa! How are you? How's Ven?" I asked. I heard him sigh on the line. My lips parted.

"I'm fine. She's fine." tipid na sagot nya. Lumapit na din sa akin si Van.

"That's good. She called and she's out of reach now." I said.

There's a long of silence between me and Papa. And then I heard him sigh again.

"Don't worry anak. She's fine. Just enjoy your vacation there. Tell Van not to worry. I'll take care of her." Papa said. Tumango na lang ako kahit hindi nya ako nakikita.

"We'll be going home tomorrow."

"I'll see you then." aniya at pinatay na ang tawag. Bumuntong hininga ako.
