Hi guys! This chapter is kind of evil. (😈) Enjoy! (Though you probably won't)

Eclipse sat in the Hollow, reliving memories. She hadn't been down here much since the proposal, because it stirred up too many painful memories. She had been down much more often now though, because of a little secret she had. It had been three months since the proposal, and Eclipse had tried not to think about it. It was easier than she thought, because she had something else to keep her busy. She was waiting for an egg. She'd found out a week or so after the proposal, and had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the egg. She had debated telling Sleet several times, but had decided against it several times. Eclipse did feel a little guilty, but she couldn't worry about that much. She came down to the Hollow everyday, wanting it to be the place where her egg hatched, even though it would be a while. She closed her eyes, wings folded neatly, and was relaxing more than she had in months when a scraping sound came from the entrance to the Hollow. She spun around, looking for the intruder. When she spotted the dragon, it wasn't an intruder at all. It was Sleet. He looked at her, obviously surprised to find her here. Eclipse stood up and slowly began to walk towards him, feeling a tear slip down her cheek. "Hi." She said. "Hi." Sleet replied. Eclipse kept walking forward, until she was close enough to reach out and touch him. Sleet sat down. Eclipse felt another tear, and another, until there was a flow of tears. She crept closer still, until she finally threw herself into Sleet's wings. He wrapped his wings around her, holding her tightly. Eclipse cried, but this time her tears were relieved. She looked up at Sleet. "I love you." She said. "I'll love you forever." Sleet looked down at her with love in his eyes. "I love you too." He said quietly. "More than anything else." Eclipse leaned forward. She kissed Sleet, so happy to be with the dragon she loved again. She pulled away gently, leaning into Sleet. He twined their tails, and Eclipse held his talon. Suddenly, a sharp jab of pain shot through her. She yelped. Sleet looked at her worriedly. "Are you ok?" He asked. Eclipse grit her teeth as another wave of pain went through her. She stretched out on her side, looking at Sleet with a scared expression. Sleet's eyes widened with realization, and he paled. "I'll go get the healer." He said, preparing to take off. Eclipse grabbed his talon. "Don't leave me." She whispered. He nodded, giving her talon a reassuring squeeze. "I won't." He promised. Eclipse growled as pain sliced through her. Sleet held onto her talon tightly, his scales whiter than normal. Soon, a pretty white egg with a splash of bright orange on the top arrived, but Eclipse wasn't moving to curl herself around it. Sleet nudged her gently, and she opened her eyes slowly. She smiled weakly at Sleet, giving his talon one last squeeze. "Take good care of her." She whispered. "I love you." And then she was still. Sleet searched frantically for a sign that she was still breathing, that she was holding on, but there was nothing. She was gone. Sleet wrapped himself around the pretty egg, promising himself that he wouldn't let anything happen to this dragonet. She would grow up without a mother. Sleet left the egg for a moment and went to get the healers. He brought them to the Hollow, showing them Eclipse, silently pleading that she wouldn't be dead. A purple and blue Rainwing shook her head. Sleet bowed his head, tears sliding down his face. The healers left, and a moment later Sunburst arrived, looking first at the pretty white egg, then at the grieving Sleet. "Oh no." She whispered. She went and laid next to her daughter, her scales black as night. Sunburst turned to Sleet, opening her wings and wrapping them around him. "I loved her." Sleet said quietly, his voice shaky. Sunburst nodded. "I know." She said. Then she turned her attention to the egg. "Where will you go?" She asked. Sleet blinked. "I'm staying here." He said. "At least for a little while." He was quiet for a moment, then spoke again. "Do you think I could have saved her?" He asked quietly. Sunburst smiled sadly. "I don't think anyone could've." She said softly. "Come on." She led him away from Eclipse. "Let's get you into the sun."

Hi guys! I'm sorry, but this had to be done. (There must be some major drama between the couples.) Don't worry, things will brighten up, I promise. Stay flappy! (Though I doubt you want to)
