Sunkat

Quick note- This chapter is from the perspective of Sunny, not in the rainforest, but I had to add some Sunkat somewhere! Other than Glorybringer, Sunkat is my favorite ship! This chapter might be shorter or longer, I'm not sure, but I hope you enjoy it!!

Flappy Seal

Sunny sat in her room at the Sand Palace. After leaving the rainforest yesterday, there was still three days left in Spring Break for Jade Mountain, so the DoD had a little while longer away from the school. Sunny had decided it might be good to visit her mother, Queen Thorn, and she also maybe wanted to spend some more time with Meerkat. Yeah, he had been in the rainforest with them, but Sunny had spent most of her time ranting about ships and Glorybringer, which, by the way was still her favorite ship other than Sunkat. (Yes, Sunny shipped herself.). And Sunny knew that she liked Meerkat. I mean, she had been trying to tell him with little gestures like twining tails, or hiding in his wings, but Meerkat didn't seem to show any signs of affection towards her. Sunny decided that she needed to do something, so she went to her mother's room and told her she was going out. "Where?" Thorn asked. Sunny shrugged. "Here and there. Get to know the subjects, you know, 'cause I'm your heir." Thorn nodded. "Alright you can go, but be back soon." Sunny smiled and hugged her mother before racing outside and springing into the air. She flew to Possibility, where she knew Meerkat would be. She was lucky to find him sitting at the entrance, and she watched him until he saw her. His face lit up, and it gave Sunny a glimmer of hope that maybe he did like her, but she released it quickly. She would tell him today, and that would solve all other problems, or make new ones. Hopefully not the latter. "Hey!" Meerkat said, wrapping Sunny in his wings. She felt her heart leap. "Hi." She said, pulling back and twining tails with him. He looked down. "Hey Sunny, I've been meaning to tell you something." Sunny felt her heart stop. "What?" She said, quiet and nervous. Meerkat starts fidgeting with his talons. "I like you Sunny." He said, glancing up at Sunny to see her shocked expression. "I, Meerkat, I like you too!" She said, flinging herself at Meerkat. He catches her, wrapping her up in his wings. "I'm glad." He whispered, and Sunny smiled. Looking up at him, she knew what she had to do. Leaning up towards him, she pressed her snout against his. He looked surprised at first, but he didn't pull away. Sunny pulled back, smiling. "That was something I've wanted to do for a while." She said, then she lifted her head to the bright blue sky and yelled, "SUNKAT LIVES!!"
