Hi guys! You're probably really mad at me, but don't worry, it gets better! Just not quite yet. This one is all about Sleet. Enjoy!

Sleet glided through the air, the pretty white egg clutched carefully in his talons. He had stayed in the Rainforest for almost two weeks, but soon he had to leave and go back home, and he wasn't leaving the egg behind. The snow covered ground of the Ice Kingdom came into view, cold wind brushing against Sleet's scales. He breathed deeply. As he flew over the Ice Kingdom, he dove down towards the ground and landed, walking a few steps before stopping to check on the egg. The white surface seemed to glow, and the spot of orange looked like a star. Sleet picked up the egg and launched into the air again.

Two guards met Sleet at the entrance, letting him in once they saw who it was. They looked with interested eyes at the egg, but Sleet ignored their stares. This was the part he had been dreading. His family was going to tease him nonstop, like they always did. Touching down next to his home, he found his two brothers and sister inside. They turned when they heard the familiar scraping of his talons against the hard floor. Avalanche, his oldest brother, turned. "Welcome back." He said. Snowstorm, his younger sister, bounded over to give him a hug. Snowstorm was the nice one of his siblings. Nix, his other brother, sneered. "Did your girlfriend dump you?" He asked. Sleet stiffened. Nix grinned wickedly. "So she did?" He snarled. Snowstorm jumped in front of Nix. "Stop it, will you?" She said. She turned to Sleet. "Why haven't you ever brought Eclipse here?" She asked. Sleet swallowed hard. "Never got the chance." He said. Snowstorm smiled. "Well, you could bring her now." She suggested, but Sleet shook his head. "I can't." He said. Snowstorm frowned. "Why not?" Sleet looked at the ground. "Because she's dead." He said quietly. Snowstorm's expression melted to one of sympathy. "I'm sorry." She said, wrapping her wings around her older brother. Avalanche's expression softened, as did Nix's. Sleet showed them the pretty white egg with the splash of orange, and Snowstorm gasped and hugged it too. "You poor little thing." She whispered to the egg. Sleet smiled.

When night fell, Sleet let Snowstorm sleep with the egg, partly because she wouldn't stop pestering him about it, and partly because he knew he could trust her. His siblings were sleeping inside, but Sleet sat outside with his wings open, like Eclipse used to do. He realized how desperately he wanted her company, for her to be right there, leaning against him. He could almost feel her warm scales against his own cold ones. He sighed, going back inside to see his sister curled around the egg, her wings folded protectively over it. He smiled, touching the orange spot on the egg before settling himself down in front of it. He may not have Eclipse anymore, but he did have his family. And for the moment, that was all he could ask for.

Hi guys! I know this chapter was kinda short, but I really want to get to the next one! :)

Stay flappy!
