Glory twitched her tail nervously. It had been two months since Sunburst was hatched, and now she could fly and talk, and had even found her own blueberry. Now, they were introducing her to Glory's family. (a.k.a the DoD) Glory was sitting outside her old hut, waiting anxiously for them to arrive. When Glory spotted them, it was because of the bright Sandwing that was racing towards her on quick wings. Sunny landed, panting, then throwing her wings around Glory. "Did it happen?" She whispered in Glory's ear. Glory nodded, and Sunny squealed with delight. Everybody landed, and Glory realized that the only ones there were Sunny, Clay, Tsunami, and Starflight. Just the originals. After saying their hellos, Glory led them inside of the hut where Deathbringer was sitting with his back to them. Glory cleared her throat, and before Deathbringer could turn around Sunburst was bounding towards her mother. Deathbringer tried to catch her but failed, and Sunburst came right over to Glory. Glory laughed at her daughter, picking her up and letting her rest on Glory's head. Sunny raced forward to meet the new dragonet, bombarding the little dragon with questions. "Sunny!" Glory interrupted. Sunny blushed and backed towards the other dragons. Tsunami marched up yo Glory. "Who is this?" She demanded, and Glory grinned at her. "This is my daughter Sunburst." She said, and Tsunami softened. "Your daughter?" She asked, and Glory nodded. Deathbringer came to sit by Glory, twining their tails and letting Sunburst slide down his tail. Sunburst giggled, jumping into the air and flapping her wings so hard she looked like a hummingbird. Glory shook her head at Sunburst, waiting underneath her. Soon enough, Sunburst couldn't do it any longer, and she drifted down onto her mothers back where she promptly fell asleep. Sunny fell in love with Sunburst, as did everyone else. As the little dragonet snoozed, she kicked her legs weakly and growled, snapping at unknown objects. Glory sat fondly watching, wondering how she ended up with a perfect dragonet, a perfect mate, the life of a queen, and the support that she had access to that came from her friends. Glory lived a perfect life, and she intended to keep it that way.
In an hour or two Sunburst woke up, yawning and stretching her tiny wings. She bounced up and hopped around the hut three times before hopping over to Glory. "Mommy, I'm hungry." She said, pulling Glory by the talon over to the fruit cabinet. Sunburst wasn't tall enough to open it by herself yet. Glory pulled over the thin door and moved to let Sunburst pick her fruit. She selected a pear, biting into the juicy fruit and tearing off a large piece. Glory smiled at her daughter, moving her over to the mat so that she didn't get pear juice on the floor. When Sunburst was done, her talons were covered in sticky pear juice, which she licked off. Then she went outside and pranced towards the waterfall. Glory raced after her, stopping her. "No, Sunburst. You can't go there." Glory scolded her daughter, and Sunburst's tail drooped. "But I wanna see the fishy!" She whined, and Glory sighed. Sunburst had been sneaking down to the waterfall to see a fish that came around every afternoon. lory took her daughters talon in her own. "Alright, we can go see the fishy." She sighed, and Sunburst smiled nice and wide. When they reached the pool, Sunburst dipped in a tentative talon, sending ripples across the pool. In a moment, the large fish was there. The fish was green and blue, with splashes of orange and yellow and black. "Hello, Kal." Sunburst said happily, and Glory cocked her head. "Kal?" Sunburst nodded. "This is Kaleidoscope, but I call her Kal." Sunburst explained. Glory nodded. Sunburst waved a talon at Kal, and she swam away. "Back to the hut." Sunburst said, skipping across the soft terf. Glory followed her hyper daughter. When she came in, she saw that Sunburst had climbed into the water basin, splashing around and making a mess. "What are you doing?" She asked, and Sunburst looked at her mother. "I'm learning to swim." She said. "Why?" Glory asked. "So that I can swim with Kal!"
Hey guys! So, what do you think? I think it turned out pretty okay, and the next chapter might be from Sunbursts perspective. Have fun with it, see you later.
