Glory was sitting in the hut, jotting down notes for things to do. She had a lengthy list that took up almost an entire scroll, even with Glory's small neat handwriting. Dipping her claw into the inkpot, she discovered it was empty. "Firefly!" She called. She had seen the heartsick little dragonet since yesterday night, but she knew he was probably just pouting. When he didn't answer right away, Glory started to get worried. It wasn't like her willing, timid dragonet to not answer his mother. "Can you bring me a new inkpot?" She asked, and when he didn't say anything or appear, Glory started to panic. "Firefly!" She yelled frantically. Deathbringer padded into the hut, looking calm and relaxed. But when he saw Glory's flustered, scared expression, his mood changed. "What's wrong?" He asked. Glory looked at him with panic in her eyes. "Firefly is missing." Deathbringer jerked back, surprised. "What? Are you sure?" He asked, the panic starting to creep into his voice. Glory nodded. Deathbringer swallowed hard. "You search the village, I'll search the rainforest." He said. Glory nodded, spreading her wings. "Kiwi is out gathering fruit with her friend Extraordinary." She said. Then she took off into the sky towards the Nightwing Village. The residents of the village were obviously nervous to have the queen in their home. Especially since Glory was scared and impatient. She asked every dragon the same question. "Have you seen my son, Firefly?" And everyone said no. When Glory had searched the whole village twice, she finally gave up and went home. She collapsed on the ground, head in her talons, shaking with sobs. "Where are you Firefly?" She whispered, mostly to herself. Deathbringer came too, and when Glory perked up her head in question, he just shook his head sadly. Glory broke down in sobs again, Deathbringer wrapping his wings around her in comfort. Kiwi burst in, looking tired. Glory jumped up. "What?" She said when she saw her daughters excited expression. Kiwi bounced up and down. "Fatespeaker's just told me. Starflight found Firefly at JMA!" She said. Glory swept her daughter up in a strangling hug. Kiwi squirmed free. "Are we gonna go get him or not?" She asked. Glory nodded. "Let's go get your brother."

When Sunburst woke up, she was in the medicine cave, one wing wrapped in bright bandages. She looked over and saw a sad-looking red face. "Firefly!" She yelped, glaring at her brother. "What are you doing here? What happened?" Firefly looked excited to tell the story. "I wanted to come see you! So I flew to JMA, but then I blacked out, and when you tried to save me I was too heavy and you broke your wing on the mountainside and then Seafoam saved us!" He said. Sunburst face-taloned. "Firefly, what were you thinking?! Mom and Dad could've brought you to see me!" She said. Firefly's face fell. "Oh." He said. "I didn't think of that." Sunburst rolled her eyes, then wrapped her brother in a one-winged hug. "I'm just glad you're all right." Firefly smiled. "Me too."
