Sunburst had never been happier. Sure, she'd only been alive for six years, but she was living a perfect life. She was at JMA, she had a million new friends, and she had the best boyfriend in the history of the world. Seafoam was with her all the time. Sunburst had never loved him more. Her only problem was that she was going to have to tell her mother on visiting day, so she had that. But her life was virtually perfect. Her only really big problem was Starling wouldn't talk to her anymore. She seemed mad about something, but Sunburst didn't know what. Maybe she's upset cause I spend so much time with Seafoam. She thought, but then shook it out of her head. Starling was a great friend, and would be nothing but happy for her. But that didn't explain why she wasn't happy for her. But Sunburst didn't have much time to dwell on it. Seafoam came up to her, twining their tails. "Hey." He said. "Hey." Sunburst replied half heartedly. Seafoam frowned at her. "What's up with you?" He asked, and Sunburst shook her head. "Nothing. I'm just..Thinking." Seafoam smiled. "Are you thinking about our fabulous future together?" Sunburst smowned at him. (smowned means smiled/frowned) He laughed. "Whats one your mind?" He asked. Sunburst looked at him. "Starling won't talk to me. She didn't ever come by to see me when I broke my wing, she didn't ever offer to help carry my stuff, and she's been extra cold towards me since we started dating." Sunburst said, flustered. Seafoam frowned. "Hmm. Aren't you and Starling friends?" He asked, and Sunburst glared at him, giving him a shove. "Of course we are, dummy! Why else would I talk to you about this?" He thought for a moment. "Because I am your most wonderful boyfriend?" He asked, a stupid grin on his face. Sunburst grunted and walked away. "I'm not going to get a serious reaction from you, am I?" Seafoam shrugged. "I need some lunch anyway." Sunburst sighed, heading towards the prey center.

Starlings POV-
Starling had fallen in love. And then her love had been taken away. Sunburst was a no good, dirty rotten, wrinkly old apple that had taken Seafoam away from her. So she was no longer going to be friends with that horrible boyfriend-snatcher. Sure, Starling and Sunburst had been friends since they were two, and sure, Starling shouldn't let a boy come between them, but when someone as perfect as Seafoam is taken away by someone as imperfect as Sunburst, you can't help but feel mad about it. Starling passed her winglet cave, where, unfortunately, Sunburst was staying in. She overheard Sunburst and Seafoam talking. "Starling won't talk to me." Sunburst began, listing off a bunch of things that Starling hadn't been doing. It made Starling feel a little guilty, but not much. She heard Sunburst grunt, saying, "I'm not going to get a serious answer out of you, am I?" Then she grumbled something about lunch and walked off. Starling knew this was her chance. She went into the cave, pretending to sort scrolls. Then Seafoam asked her a question. "Why have you stopped being friends with Sunburst?" He asked. Starling turned. "Because, I don't need to be friends with strange hybrid dragons." She said, turning back to her shelf and continuing to fake arranging scrolls. Seafoam looked hurt. "Sunburst isn't weird. She is the most perfectly imperfect dragon I have ever met, and if you can't see how lucky you are to have her as a friend, then she doesn't deserve to waste time fretting over why you won't talk to her." Starling felt tears spring into her eyes. "There's another reason, isn't there?" Seafoam asked, coming to stand next to her. Starling nodded. "It's because of me, isn't it?" He asked, quiet. Starling nodded again, then whispered, "I'm sorry. I know you love her. I never should have been jealous. I guess, I don't know, I wanted to know what love felt like?" Starling sniffled. Seafoam wrapped her in a hug, a hug that could only bring the amount of comfort a friend could. "Your friendship with Sunburst is what love feels like." He said. "Don't let me come between that." Starling nodded, pulling away from the hug. "I'm going to go apologize to Sunburst." She said. Seafoam touched her talon. "Don't ever let me come between your perfect friendship with Sunburst. I know how special she is, and how special she makes your life. Don't let me spoil that." Starling nodded. She wouldn't let anyone come between her and Sunburst again.
