New Feelings

Ok, so this is gonna be kinda weird. This is from Sunburst's perspective, but there is a huge time skip. The twins are now two, and Sunburst and Starling are 6 and heading to JMA. Hope you like it! Also, Glory and Deathbringer aren't in this one, and the other weird part I'm gonna go back and fill in the 3-4 years I'm skipping, or I might just write a sequel.

Sunburst stretched her wings, preparing for the long flight ahead of her. Starling was beside her, pushing her glasses onto her nose and studying a map of the way to the academy. Sunburst rolled her eyes, "Starling, come on! We have to get going or we're gonna be late!" Starling looked at Sunburst. "Okay, okay, let's go." Sunburst grinned. "We're going now!" Sh called back into the hut. Glory hurried out, followed by Deathbringer, Firefly, and Kiwi. They enveloped the two girls in a big hug. "See you soon!" Firefly called as Sunburst and Starling took off into the sky. "No we won't, idiot!" Kiwi said to her brother, slapping him with the tip of her tail. Firefly glared. "Yeah we will, 'cause we'll visit." He said, and Kiwi gave him a toothy smile. She pounced, and the last thing Sunburst heard was an indignant, "Hey!" from Firefly before she was out of earshot.

When they arrived, the first thing Sunburst noticed were how many dragons there were. All the tribes blending together in a kaleidoscope of color and shape. Sunburst spotted a bright orange Skywing with scattered red scales stretching her wings. She pointed it out to Starling, who squinted. "Wow, those are some big wings." She said, breaking out into a huge smile and doing a flip in the air. Sunburst tilted her head. "What?" Starling beamed. "I can finally study the other tribes! This is going to be amazing." Sunburst grinned at her friend. "Yeah it is."

After being assigned dorms and winglets (Starling and Sunburst had a celebration when they discovered they were in the same winglet), Sunburst went to her winglets cave to unpack her stuff. She saw a leafy hammock swinging in the corner, and bounded happily over. Starling had already settled herself on a mossy bed with a scroll from the library all about Skywings. There were five other dragons in the winglet, and they all shared a cave. Sunburst got excited about meeting another dragon from a different tribe, especially when the Skywing she had spotted earlier came in. She stretched her impressive wings, showing matching orange undersides. She walked over to a stone slab, leaping onto it and folding her wings neatly against her sides. "Hi." She said. "I'm Aero." Sunburst smiled at her clawmate. "I'm Sunburst, and that's my friend Starling." Starling gave a wave. Aero frowned at Starling. "Why do you need a scroll about Skywings when you have one right in front of you?" Starling's head popped up immediately. "Huh? Oh! Wow, you're wings are amazing."  Aero smiled proudly. Suddenly, three dragons came into the room. A warm-looking Sandwing, a less-than-friendly Icewing, and a sleepy-looking Mudwing. Sunburst grinned broadly. "Hi." She said. The Sandwing bounded over. "Hi!" She said, flicking her tail. "I'm Scorpion." The Icewing came over, wrapping her tail neat around her claws. "I'm Flurry." She said, and Sunburst noticed black spots scattered on her snout, tail, and legs. Sunburst tilted her head, and Flurry broke into a wide smile. "You like 'em?" Sunburst laughed. Flurry seemed like fun. The Mudwing yawned, stretching his wings then letting them hang limp. "I'm Cypress." He said, then went over to his mud pool for a nap. Sunburst counted. "Aren't we missing a tribe?" Just then, a green Seawing with yellow aquatic stripes and bright blue eyes walked in. "Hi." He said shyly, looking at the group. "I'm Seafoam." Sunburst blinked. Seafoam. Her heart fluttered, like it had wings of it's own as she looked at the pale colored Seawing. He caught her eye and blushed, Sunburst doing the same. Starling looked from Seafoam to Sunburst, then back to Seafoam. She smiled slyly. "Nice to meet you, Seafoam." He grinned, scratching the back of his neck with a talon. He padded softly over to seaweed bed, settling down. Sunburst followed him with her eyes, trying not to be too obvious. Seafoam noticed anyway. "What?" He asked nervously. Sunburst blushed and flicked her tail. "Oh, um, I've never met a Seawing before." She stammered. Seafoam gave her a small smile, and Sunbursts heart did flips. What is happening to me?  Why do I feel this way every time I look at Seafoam? Maybe I can just ignore it until I can control these new feelings.

Hey! So, I just wanted to add a little first crush for Sunburst. Anyway, I think I might do some Firefly and Kiwi in the next chapter, and also I know that this Glorybringer oneshot doesn't have a lot of Glorybringer in it, I just sped through the chapters. I'm planning on making a one shots book, and I am open to requests, so comment your favorite one shots and I'll do my best.
