Hi guys! So this is the time skip. Um, Sunburst is now 10. The twins are 6 and at JMA. And Passion is 4. BTW, Sunburst and Seafoam actually live at JMA in place of Tsunami and Starflight. Seafoam is the art teacher, plus a chaperone (They have art once a week combined) and Sunburst is the librarian. :) Enjoy!! (Also can we pretend it's Sunburst in that pic instead of Glory? Thx!)
Sunburst sighed. She was ten years old, and she wanted to do something fun, not run a school library. Seafoam just got to wander around the school, kind of like what they had done when they attended. He got lucky. And Sunburst barely got to see him anymore. He was very busy with all the fights that had been springing up between Winter's daughter Avalanche and Starlings daughter Phoenix. Sunburst was so happy that Starling had a daughter. She wasn't technically old enough to go to JMA, but Starling was one of the teachers, and Ember helped too. So that meant that two-year old Phoenix got to come to JMA early. Phoenix was more Skywing than Nightwing, with giant wings and curled horns. He bright red and orange scales reminded everyone of the phoenix, the firebird. So Phoenix. She was feisty, with a confident attitude with a touch of snark. Avalanche, on the other hand, was just as cold as her father. Winter found a mate in a gentle Icewing named Iceberg, who was much nicer towards others. Avalanche was pure white, and her scales glittered. Even her spikes and horns were a pearly white color, almost seeming to glow. They should've named her Diamond. Avalanche was also six, so she was much larger than small Phoenix. But Avalanche seemed a little bit scared of this ferocious dragonet. Still, Seafoam was always out making sure that nobody died on the days that he didn't teach art class. And Sunburst was stuck in the library. A little blue dragonet with shining eyes came up to her with a scroll. Sunburst took it, then opened a drawer with all the stamps. "What's your name?" She asked gently. The blue dragonet replied, "Dream." He was a Rainwing, so of course he had a name like that. Well, Sunburst was a Rainwing too, but her name wasn't crazy. Sunburst sifted through until she found his stamp. Stamping her sheet, she handed the scroll back down to him. He smiled at her. She smiled back. He left. A new dragon came. He smiled at her. Sunburst smiled back, then realized who it was. "Seafoam!" She yelped. Jumping to him, she kissed him once. Then she smacked him hard with a wing. "Why haven't you come to see me earlier?" He winced. "I've been.......Busy." He said. Sunburst snorted. "Busy? That's all you have to-" Seafoam cut her off. "You wanna do something fun?" He asked. Sunburst relaxed, nodding. "Yes, please." Seafoam led her outside and into the air. Sunburst went after him. He took her to a beautiful spot on the beach, lined with palm trees and gorgeous seashells. Seafoam looked nervous. Sunburst went over to him. "What?" She asked. He took a deep breath. "I love you more than anything, Sunburst." He said. "And I always will. And I want to be with you for the rest of my life, Sunburst. I really, really do." Sunburst sucked in a breath. Was he- Was this a- She didn't know. "Sunburst." He said. "You are my one and only. So, I have to ask. Will you marry me?" Sunburst smiled bright and big, feeling happy tears springing to her eyes. "I love you too." She said. "And yes. Yes, yes, yes, yes!" Seafoam kissed her, long and sweet. As he did so, Sunburst felt something slip onto one of her talons. Looking at it, she saw a perfect ring, swirled with colors of the rainforest and colors of the sea. "I love it." She whispered, tears flowing freely now. Seafoam pulled her in close. "And I love you." He whispered. Sunburst sighed with happiness. Then she pulled back. "You know I have to become queen of the Rainwings, right?" Seafoam nodded. "Do you want to be queen?" He asked. Sunburst sighed. "No. I don't. I don't want to have to worry about that kind of stuff when we have dragonets, and-" Seafoam cut her off with a kiss. "Then don't be the queen." He said. "You have sisters. They can do it." "But-" Sunburst started. Seafoam kissed her again. "You'll always be my queen." He said. Sunburst cried again. Seafoam wrapped her up and kissed her again. And Sunburst knew that she would never be the queen. At least, not when she had Seafoam. And she was going to tell her mother. And she was going to make her perfect happily ever after.
