Zuma's POV
Coach was pretty disappointed about how practice went. Honestly, I don't blame him. Marshall wasn't paying attention half the time, I lost track at some points too, Hunter decided to draw a big scene, it was just a mess. Thankfully, practice was over. We all headed back to the locker room to get changed.

"Just talk to her," Hunter complained with annoyance. "Not that hard."

"Yes, very hard actually," Marshall corrected.

"Not really," Hunter contradicted.

"Send her a text," Jackson suggested.

"A text?" Chase asked as he took his shirt off. "Is that a good idea? Like isn't it better to talk to her?"

"It worked with me and Stella," Jackson said smiling at the thought.

"Aren't you two over?" Max spoke up.

"Yes but that's beside the point," Jackson said trying to avoid that topic. "It wouldn't hurt to try."

"Are you sure?" Marshall asked uncertainly.

"Trust me, it's better to talk to her through text than nothing at all," Jackson said putting his hand on Marshall's shoulder.

"I guess you're right," Marshall shrugged. "What if I mess up a text?" Marshall questioned.

"Bro," Hunter said with disappointment. "You think too much. Just do it."

"Look, Marshall," Chase spoke up. "I-If you text Everest...I-I'll t-talk to Skye," Chase said nervously as he put his hands in his pockets. Marshall thought for a moment.

"Fine," Marshall gave in as he pulled out his phone. "Anyone got her number?" He asked lifting his head realizing he didn't have it.

"Aren't you in a group chat with her or something'?" Arby asked from the back.

"Oh yeah," Marshall said looking back down at his phone clicking things and typing. "And send."

"What'd you say?" Chase asked as he and some of the other guys walked behind Marshall who was staring at his phone.

"Hey," Marshall answered.

"Hey?" Jackson asked.

"I mean we are just starting a conversation," Marshall reasoned.

"I guess you're right," Jackson shrugged.

"Now Chase has to talk to Skye," Hunter said as he poked Chase's chest, which bothered him.

Third POV
Chase had just begun to think about what he had said. Marshall did his half of the deal, now he had to do his'.

"Won't be hard," Zuma spoke up for one of the first times. The guys turned to face Zuma, who was seated on a bench with his shirt in his hand. They were all shocked to hear that he said something, which didn't occur often.

"Hold up a minute," Hunter said getting close to Zuma. "Don'tcha talk to 'er?" Hunter said pointing his finger in his face. "Like Everest AND Skye?"

"Uh yeah...we're friends," Zuma said as if it were obvious.

"Ya heard that, Chase?" Hunter laughed. "Zuma is gonna tell on you. And you, Marshall." Marshall sucked his teeth and slammed his locker shut.

"Now hold on," Chase said getting up. "Zuma won't do that, will ya?" Zuma hadn't noticed until that moment. Chase held trust in his eyes for him. Zuma thought for a moment and shook his head.

"I won't tell," Zuma comforted.

"See," Chase said as a weight lifted off of his shoulders.

"Sure," Hunter said sarcastically.
