Chapter 32: The Texter

Third POV
"How!?" Everest shouted through her phone.

"I don't know," Skye admitted. "She told me that she wasn't allowed to talk to me, so she wasn't able to fully explain."

"Okay, back up," Everest paused. "Tell me everything from the beginning."

"I went up to Stella and told her I wanted to ask her a question," Skye explained.

"Uh-huh," Everest understood.

"I asked her why she was getting into your business and asking so many questions."

"Wow," Everest shockingly said. "You said that? Never knew it was in you."

"That doesn't matter," Skye shook her head. "She was kinda confused, so I had to explain. I was being specific and mentioned her texting you on Instagram. Then she said it wasn't her. After that, I asked who it was, and she said it was Marshall."

"Okay, sadly, I heard Marshall right the first time," Everest panicked. "Marshall's texting me!? Why!?"

"I dunno."

"He doesn't have the balls to talk to me himself," Everest muttered. "He can't even text me on his own Instagram account."

"Everest!"

"I'm not sorry for what I said," Everest honestly spoke.

"Did I hear that correctly?" Everest could barely hear Zuma's voice say.

"Who's there?" Everest panicked for a quick second.

"Zuma," Skye responded.

"Why didn't you tell me!?" He heard me."

"Well, for starters, I didn't think you'd come over and say that," Skye began. "And second, Ella's here too."

"Ella heard me!?" Everest shouted.

"Loud and clear," Ella said through Skye's phone.

"Oh, God," Everest sighed. "How can it be him, though? Like, what? And I may have said some things that shouldn't have been said," Everest paused.

"Oh, Eve," Skye facepalmed. "We'll discuss this later. Right now, we have to focus on Rocky. We're heading over to the park now."

"Alright, I'll head out too," Everest decided.

"'k, bye."

"Bye." Skye hung up and looked over to Ella and Zuma.

"That was weird," Zuma laughed.

"Marshall's such a jerk," Ella folded her arms. "He shouldn't be playing with Everest's feelings."

"Everest likes Marshall?" Zuma asked.

"Not said, but we think," Skye explained. "Even though he shouldn't have done that, we still shouldn't call him a jerk. Did he not think she'd find out, though? And he shouldn't play with her feelings. Everest might feel stupid for falling for someone who thinks she's a game."

"I sure would..." Ella said, allowing her voice to trail off.

"Hey, guys," Chase said from behind the three. They all turned around and saw him standing there with Marshall next to him. Ella's feelings overcame her, causing her to roll her eyes without even noticing.
