Third POV
"Still can't believe we didn't get caught," Everest remarked.

"I know, right?" Ella stated. "I did walk by the nurse's office a couple of times, but I avoided any eye contact. Kept my head low," she quoted.

"Ayyy," Everest smiled. "Ya see, you got it," she said as she and Ella gave each other a high five. "I taught you well."

"Guys, I know you're happy about not getting called into the principal's office and all, but can we focus?" Skye begged as she searched her closet.

"Sorry," Ella apologized. "I just feel so relieved."

"Honestly, so do I," Skye spoke. "My heart was pounding all day, just waiting for the moment to hear my name. Every time the announcement speakers went off, I felt like I was going to die. I felt so relieved when it was time to leave."

"Sameee," Ella agreed.

"Okay, so whatchu got?" Everest asked.

"Nothing," Skye frowned. "Why is this so complicated?"

"So much easier for guys to get ready," Ella shook her head.

"Okay, but where is he taking you?" Everest questioned. "That might help."

"That's the thing, I don't know," Skye complained.

"Well, Ella has great taste in outfits and styles," Everest began. "So ask her."

"Ella?" Skye said as she turned to her.

"Let's see what we got," Ella said as she got up from Skye's bed. Ella ran her fingers through Skye's closet and searched for an outfit. "I mean, it's not so cold out, but it isn't officially spring yet, so..."

"So...?" Everest copied.

"Wait," Skye paused. "I don't want to wear anything too fancy. This isn't a date."

"And why do you say that?" Everest asked as she sat upright.

"He said it wasn't," Skye thought. "Just to hang out."

"Did you ask if it was a date?" Ella questioned as she leaned on the wall.

"No," Skye answered. "He said it himself."

"It's a date," Ella and Everest said in sync as they turned to each other.

"Oh my God, guys, this can't be a date," Skye panicked. "I'm not ready."

"Don't worry," Everest comforted. "Just act like it's a hangout. You'll be fine."

"Yeah," Ella smiled. "This isn't the first time you two talk either. It might be uncomfortable at first, but after, it'll be a breeze."

"I hope," Skye sighed.

"Just wear some jeans," Everest proposed.

"And a cute top," Ella added. "Like...this one," Ella chose as she pulled out a short-sleeved white top with small decorations on the borders.
