Everest's POV
Skye and I walked home together. Luckily, there might not be school tomorrow. A snowstorm is supposed to come, which means I get to snowboard! I try not to get my hopes too high up. Whenever I do, it doesn't end up snowing. If it does snow, it'll be the first real snow we get. For some reason, this year, there wasn't much snow. The most snow we got was about an inch, but that didn't even last long. When I got home, I found my brother on the couch with the TV remote in his hand. My dad was in the kitchen grabbing a plate of food.

"I'm back," I called out.

"Ayo, Eve," Blizzard said, sitting up.

"What?" I asked as I sat on the couch next to him.

"My first day at your school is tomorrow."

"Perfect," I sighed. "Hell starts tomorrow."

"Who's class are you in?"

"I'm in Ms. Collin's class," I responded. "Who's class did you get into?"

"I'm in Ms. Boyle's class." My dad's phone started ringing, which caused all of us to look up.

"I'll get it," Dad said. He walked over to the phone and answered. He brought it up to his ear at listened closely. From where I was, it sounded like a machine, not a person. My dad didn't hang up, so I guess it's school. After two minutes, my dad placed his phone back on the counter. "It was school. No school tomorrow. Got canceled 'cuz of the storm."

"Ayyy!" I cheered. "Hell doesn't start tomorrow!"

"Do you two mind coming to Home Depot with me right now?" My dad asked. "We don't have any salt or ice melt."

"Sure," I shrugged. I still had my jacket on, so there wasn't much I had to do to get ready.

"I'll grab my jacket," Blizzard said, getting up and turning the TV off. Dad and I headed to his truck to wait for Blizzard there. Since I got out first, I called shotgun. Blizzard finally got out and ran into the car.

"Could we switch?" He asked.

"Nope," I smirked. We made it to Home Depot and parked in the parking lot.

"Time to head inside," Dad said, turning off the engine. We all hopped out and made our way inside. One thing about my dad is that he has NO sense of direction. Blizzard and I have to be attentive because he can be in front of us now and disappear in the next second. "They should be around here somewhere..." Blizzard and I followed Dad into the paint section.

"Dad, I don't think the salt nor ice melt is going to be here," I laughed.

"Doesn't hurt to check," he shrugged. I put my hands in my pocket and touched my phone. I decided to pull it out and look through my Snapchat and Instagram. I quickly realized Blizzard wasn't around.

"Hey, dad?"

"Hm?"

"Where's Blizzard?" Dad looked around and didn't see him either.

"I don't know. Mind calling him? Or looking for him?"

"Sure." I wasn't doing anything anyway. I walked out of the aisle and looked around. Left or right? I decided to go the way we came. Blizzard wasn't anywhere to be found and I felt like I was being watched. More specifically, followed.

"Boo!" Blizzard shouted from behind. I jumped a little because of the scare.

"Ugh, it's just you," I said, rolling my eyes.

"Look what I found." He held a bag of ice and melt and another of salt.

"Great."

"Did Dad go to the gardening section again?" Blizzard questioned.

"Would've made more sense than the paint," I chuckled.

"He went to the paint section?"

"Yeah, but that doesn't matter. Let's go." We found Dad again, but this time, he was checking in the toilet section.

"Oh, great, you found them," Dad smiled. "Why don't we head over to pay?" Before going to check out, something caught my eye. I looked over my shoulder and saw a man (more like a teenager) bent down checking out some paint. The teen had blue jeans and a red sweater. They had white fur with black spots. Something inside me got triggered and I felt a chill go up my spine. The teen turned his head to an angle where I could see his face. I let out a sigh of relief. It wasn't Marshall.

This happened to me once. It wasn't fun😐

Have no idea what happened inside of me. It felt like I was riding down an emotional roller coaster when I saw him. When I figured out it wasn't Marshall, it felt like I came to a halt. I have no clue what's happening to me.

Rocky's POV
Now, the challenging part. How am I supposed to get up there? I stood in the backyard of my house, looking up at the window to my room. I would NEVER tell my friends, but my parents kicked me out of the house. I don't know for how long, but I'm not allowed in. The fact I saw this coming isn't even funny. My parents wouldn't stop arguing used their anger towards me. They always talked about me not being a "normal" teenager. The fact I did nothing but do homework, read textbooks and watch documentaries.

I should go out and do things any teenager would do. Hang out with friends, get detention, break a couple of rules. Anything. But that's not me and they can't change that. When they kicked me out, they said they never wanted to see me again. I don't mind not seeing them, but I left EVERYTHING up there. My phone, keys, homework, school stuff, clothes, EVERYTHING. I didn't want to bug my friends but with the snowstorm coming, I need a place to stay. I stayed at Zuma's recently, so not his'. Skye has siblings to focus on, so not her. The only ones left are Everest and Ella but Ella and I aren't even that close.

My main concern at this moment, though, is getting up to my room and packing up. I'm not strong and buff like the football team, so climbing isn't really an option. I didn't have any chairs or tables to step on so that wasn't an option either. I know what can help, Physics. I looked around and found old wooden planks. My dad wanted to build a little area for my mom's gardening and his area for building. He used planks to make a small fence. Luckily, there were some leftovers. I grabbed the longest plank I could find started to jump on it. It can hold me.

I found some rope and tossed the rope over the tree closest to my house. I found more rope and I tied it to make a net. I grabbed some bricks and placed them inside. I dragged the net since it was so heavy. I tied one end of the rope around my waist and the other end, on the halfway mark, to the net. I didn't let go of the net and grabbed the large plank. The net in my left hand and he plank on my right.

"Every action has an equal and opposite reaction," I quoted. I tossed the net as far as possible and pulled the rope on the other end down, flinging me up in the air. I sat right on top of a tree branch. That hurt, but I'm alive. "Okay." I placed my plank down on my right and untied the rope from my waist. Thank God I'm light. I stood up, trying to gain balance. I grabbed the plank and walked to the edge of the branch. I placed the plank on the edge of the branch and the edge of the roof of my house. For me to do this safely, the plank needed to be a little thicker, but it was worth the try.

"Here goes..." I slowly walked back to get a running start. "One...two...three!" I dashed from the branch to the plank. I ran and heard the plank crack. No. The plank broke but I held on to the roof on time. The plank fell below and hit the ground. I hung on tight to the edge of the roof. I made it.
