Third POV
"Hunter?" Storm confusingly asked. "Who's that? A friend?""Nope, a mean jerk," Skye bitterly answered. "And to the looks of it, he's coming to bother me."
"About what?"
"I don't know. And I really don't want to either."
"Well, well, well," Hunter began. "If it isn't Skye."
"Wish it wasn't," Skye said under her breathe. "What do you want?" She said as she hid her annoyance.
"Not much, just a couple of questions," Hunter said. "And maybe a few other things."
"Like?"
"You'll see."
"Sure," Skye shrugged.
"I'm going to start by saying Chase is a little jealous of you and Tracker."
"What about Tracker and me?"
"That he's at your house."
"Chase is jealous of Tracker!" Storm blurted out with surprise. "That's crazy. I didn't think-"
"Storm, why don't you go and sit somewhere else and quit eavesdropping on other people's conversations," Skye suggested.
"But-"
"Great, thanks. I'll be watching you." Storm stood up and walked over to another bench as Hunter sat where Storm sat before. "He needed a place to stay," Skye continued as she turned to Hunter.
"Well, he's jealous."
"Um...am I supposed to do something about that?" Skye asked.
"No, just letting you know. But I do have a question."
"And it is...?"
"Do you like Chase?" Skye facepalmed, trying to hide her smile.
"Why do you think that?"
"Nah, just asking."
"Well, I don't. And if I did, I wouldn't tell you."
"Uh- why not?"
"For starters, I don't trust you."
"Why don't you trust me?" Skye felt a vibration coming from her pocket, assuming it was a message from Tuck. She decided to ignore it and answer later because this conversation was kind of starting to get interesting.
"I don't talk to you. So I don't know if you would tell people or really keep it to yourself. And from experience, it seems like you expose everyone to get on their nerves."
"That's not true," Hunter said. Skye frowned, causing Hunter to scratch the back of his head. "Okay, thinking it through, I might do that."
"Yeah," Skye folded her arms. "Why?"
"I don't know," Hunter shrugged. "It just happens, comes out of me."

Tuck's POV
It's been ten minutes. Why hasn't Skye answered? Wait, why am I waiting for her to answer? Ella can't be right, can she? I can't have a crush on her. She's only a friend. Besides, she likes Chase. I wouldn't have a chance."I had a...crush...on...you..." I remembered Skye tell me once. We were in 8th grade when she told me.
"You did?" I responded with shock.
"Yeah..."
"Wow, I...didn't know."
"How did you not know? I was so obvious."
"She was," Bolt chimed in.
"Bolt, please," Skye said as she pushed her brother away.
"I really had no idea," I said as thoughts flew through my head.
"Can we just please not talk about this anymore? It's kinda awkward." Skye said.
"Yeah, sure," I nodded. I remember that conversation like it was yesterday. How did we get to that topic? No clue. I did have a crush on her when I was 9. I remember that clearly, too. Turns out, she liked me by that time. I don't know how I didn't see it. Because of certain people, she found out I had a crush on her during the time. That doesn't matter now. It was the past. Although, we do bring it up sometimes.
"Bye," Ella said as she walked into my room.
"Where are you going now?" I asked as I sat up on my bed.
"Out with Zuma," she smiled.
"Bruh, another date?"
"Yes, now see you later." She walked out of my room as I heard her footsteps get quieter until I couldn't hear them anymore. I don't know how much longer Ella and Zuma are going to keep their relationship a secret. Everyone is going to find out sometime, especially if they're going out almost every single day. I guess, for now, I'm gonna go out to the backyard and play a little soccer to take my mind off of everything. I picked up my phone and searched for Tracker. Maybe he'd like to join me.

Rocky's POV
I feared doing this but, I'm interested. When did Marshall give Everest a note? And why hadn't she said anything? I placed a bookmark in my book and left it on my nightstand. I got off my bed, opened the door, and peeked out into the hallway. It's awfully peaceful in this house, a little too peaceful I should say. I made my way to Everest's room door and gently knocked on it. I patiently waited for a response, nothing. I knocked on the door again, but this time, a little harder."Go away, Blizzard!" Everest shouted from inside.
"Um, Everest...it's Rocky," I hesitantly said.
"What!?"
"It's Rocky," I raised my voice.
"Oh, coming," she called. In a matter of seconds, I heard the lock unlock, and the door opened to show Everest slightly different. Her eyes looked different...like her pupils got bigger. "Lock the door." Everest went to her bed and threw herself on top as I locked the door behind me. I awkwardly walked over to her small armchair and sat down. "This is about the note, isn't it?" I didn't know how to respond. If I say yes, what if she attacks me?
"Maybe," I responded. "You seemed pretty upset. Are you ok-better?"
"Eh," she shrugged. She reached out and pulled out the pink piece of paper Blizzard had earlier. "Here, you could read it." She bit her lip, knowing she'd regret her choice later.
"You sure?" I asked. Everest nodded as I got up and took the paper from her. I sat back down and unfolded the pink piece of paper.
Everest,
I honestly don't know what's wrong with me. By now, you might be asking the same thing. I don't know what it is, but there's just something about you...
My feelings for you are just so complicated. I don't even know what I'm feeling or why. I get so nervous around you that it's even hard to make eye contact with you. Am I in love? Hopefully not. The worst part about feeling the way I'm feeling is that I don't know what I'm feeling, why I'm feeling it, or how to stop.
Sadly, the only person who could help me stop feeling this way is you. You made me start, so you can help me stop. There are times I just find myself staring at you, and I want to stop, but something doesn't let me. The fact that we're getting closer is helping.
I'm not staring at you as much. But even with that, your name doesn't erase from my brain. I can be thinking about anything- literally anything- and for some reason, your name would come to mind. Any time of day, Everest. Even in my dreams. And if I'm being honest, I want it to stop. But this other part of me finds it as "not a bad thing".
Why? I don't know. Something about you is just...I don't even know. I don't have the words to explain. Hopefully, I get this all figured out and soon.
- MarshallThat was deep, pretty private if you ask me. I looked up to face Everest, who was red hot. I couldn't tell if it was embarrassment or something else. Does he really like Everest, let alone, love? I mean, doesn't loving someone make you feel happy? He didn't mention that anywhere, at least, I don't recall that. He did, however, mention nervousness. That's a sign.
"I think he's lying," Everest blurted out.
