Third POV
"Stella texted you?" Skye asked. She, Everest, and Ella sat in Everest's room discussing the situation that had happened at Chase's.

"Yeah," Everest responded as she took off her sweater.

"That's weird," Ella added. "What she say?"

"She said "hi" and then asked if she could ask me a question," Everest responded as she sat on her bed.

"And you said..?" Skye said, allowing her voice to trail off.

"Sure," Everest answered.

"What was the question?" Ella questioned.

"I still don't know," Everest shrugged. "She hasn't answered me yet." Skye now felt worried. She was going to wait for Everest to explain everything to give her the note. Now there was nothing left for her to explain, so it needs to reveal. Just as Skye was about to pull it out of her pocket, she came up with a great distraction.

"What do you think she wants?" Skye asked.

"No idea. I mean, we've never talked."

"What could Stella want?" Ella thought.

"What if it's Sweetie!?" Ella and Skye snapped at the same time.

"Wow," Everest laughed. "Mind-readers now, are we?" This little comment caused giggling to spread throughout the room. "Stella isn't dumb enough t-" Everest said, cutting herself off. Everest thought it through and came to the realization. "It's Sweetie!"

"Okay, hold up," Skye paused. "We can't jump to a conclusion just yet. It can be her, but we aren't completely sure."

"Who else could it be?" Everest asked in a high-pitched voice.

"For starters, it can be Stella," Skye reminded. "Yet again, it can be anyone else."

"We'll get our answer when you get a text back," Ella smiled.

"Okay, so, Everest," Skye began. "There is a note."

"A note?" Everest asked, perplexed. "Ohhh. Wait, why'd you tell me there wasn't? When we were at Chase's."

"'Cuz they don't need to know," Skye stated. "I'm going to text Jace." Skye reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone.

"Chase's brother?" Ella questioned. "Why?"

"He gave it to me and said it was from Marshall to Everest," Skye explained. "Then he said "kinda," and I have no idea what he meant by that. So, I'm going to text him and ask." Skye unlocked her phone and went to Jace's number.

"Can I at least get the note?" Everest asked nervously.

"Sure," Skye responded. Skye reached into her pocket and pulled it out. At that instant, Everest's phone vibrated one again.

"Who's phone was that?" Ella asked.

"Mine," Everest trembled. "I'll read the message first." Skye nodded at Everest's choice and put it back into her pocket. Everest picked up her phone and saw that Stella had responded to her message. "She answered."

"What she say?" Skye eagerly asked.

"Someone told me something about you," Everest read. "Why are people talking about me?"
