4th chapter of the day! Enjoy😜
Skye's POV
"Blizzard!?" Zuma said with shock."Apparently," Everest responded. "Good luck, you'll need it."
"I know I will," Zuma said with a bit of annoyance. "He's just as annoying as Hunter."
"Jerk," Everest rolled her eyes.
"Oh, Everest," Ella remembered. I know exactly where she was going with this. "Skye wanted to give you something."
"Oh, um, I-uh, I haven't spoken to my boy- Ru-Ro-my boys Rocky and Rubble," Zuma stuttered. "So, um, I-I'm gonna go do that. Bye." He walked off into the halls and turned the corner.
"Isn't Rocky over there and Rubble that way?" Everest asked as she pointed to two different directions, neither being the way Zuma went.
"He probably forgot," Ella laughed.
"Here," I said as I pull out the permission slip that I folded yesterday.
"Oh hell nah," Everest said as she walked back a foot. "That better not be another note.
"Oh, no, it's not," I laughed. I guess I scared her. I unfolded the paper to see all the written information and lines where a parent's signature needs to be left. I turned the paper to face her as her expression changed. "See?"
"What is that?" She asked as I handed her the slip. "A field trip? When did you get this?"
"Cheerleading," Ella answered. "The team is going."
"Are you guys going?" Everest questioned.
"Yep," I said as I pulled out my signed permission slip.
"What about you, Ella?" Everest asked.
"My mom signed it, but I don't want to leave Tuck," she stated.
"I mean, if you're going, I'll just force my dad's signature," Everest said as she grabbed a pencil and wrote on the slip as she used the wall.
"Do you think guys can join the team?" Ella asked. "Like, the cheerleading team?"
"Tuck? Cheerleading?" Everest laughed. "I wanna see that. Ask Sweetie."
"Yeah, even if guys can, I don't think he'll want to cheerlead," I giggled.
"Maybe the football team," Ella shrugged.
"I think soccer is more of his thing," I pointed out.
"And anyway, if he joined the football team, he wouldn't be able to go on the trip for the cheerleaders," Everest thought. Ella and I agreed that we'd tell Everest there might be a chance for the guys to go. That way, she knows the guys are going but will have hope they won't go. So by the time she finds out they will, she'd already have her slip handed in.
"I mean..." I began.
"Don't tell me the guys are going," Everest complained.
"We aren't sure," Ella said. "There's a chance, but we don't know for sure."
"You know Maggie and Sweetie, always telling lies," I played along.
"I hope they don't go," Everest begged. "When's this trip anyway?"
"We leave on a Wednesday and come back a Saturday," I informed.
"Skipping school?" Everest asked with joy. "I'm definitely going." She continued to fill out the slip and signed the paper. "Done."
"What will you tell your dad?" I asked.
"That...I forced his signature," Everest shrugged.
"Won't he get mad?" Ella asked.
