Third POV
"Ooo, Marshall's texting Everest," Hunter said out loud as he looked at Marshall's phone over his shoulder. "Actually, no. He's texting Stella. Ooo, he's talking to two girls at once."

"That's not what's happening," Marshall rejected. "I'm just letting her know of something."

"Sureee," Hunter laughed.

"Marshall, has your mom said anything?" Chase asked Marshall.

"About what?" Marshall asked.

"Anything," Chase responded.

"No. Why?"

"My mom just texted me and said, "Hey, do you mind staying home with Grace for a little while? Jace got into a fight with Mason and some other kid, so I have to head to school right now"."

"Ooo, Jace got into a fight?" Hunter laughed. "I thought he was an innocent little kid. I guess he matches up with his older brother."

"Uh- excuse me, but you're not any better," Chase shot back.

"Shut up," Hunter ordered.

"No, you," Chase responded.

"Wait, so do you have to go home now?" Max asked.

"Why now?" Chase questioned.

"Schools over, and Grace might be on her way home now," Max explained.

"Shoot," Chase quickly said. "I'm gonna have to miss practice today." Chase began to pack his things up and make his way to the door.

"Um, good luck," Max wished.

"Thanks," Chase thanked.

"I'll visit after!" Marshall called to his best friend.

"Got it," Chase said, already out of the locker room.

Skye's POV
"A fight!?" Everest asked with shock. "Storm? In a fight? I would've wanted to see that. He learned well."

"You told him to fight!?" I yelled.

"No, no, no," Everest said, knowing I misunderstood. "Well- okay, let me explain."

"Everest!"

"Chill, chill, chill," Everest begged.

"You know you don't tell a girl to chill," I began. "That heats them more."

"Alright, alright, let me explain, though."

"Fine, go ahead."

"I told him to not take s*it from anyone," Everest began. "I didn't think he was going to fight people. Besides, he was probably in second grade when I told him that."

"Second grade!? And you said those exact words?"

"Yeah, why?" Everest shrugged. I didn't do anything but facepalm.

"Ya know what, forget it. I need to go and pick my brother up. Bolt is probably doing homework, so I'm going to go and pick him up myself."

"I'll go with you," Everest offered.

"No, I think you should stay with Ella. If not, she'll be working on the cheers alone. Let her know what happened. Ooo, and give my permission slip to whoever collects it," Skye said as she handed her slip to Everest.

"Um, alright. So, I guess I'll see you later."

"Um, yeah. Later." Everest walked away and made her way to the gym as I ran out of the school. I made it to the door and pushed it wide open. I stood outside and saw the streets were empty. Except for two people, that is. Tuck and Chase. Were they walking together? No. Chase ran in one direction as Tuck walked in the same direction but a little farther behind.

Thankfully, Storm's school isn't far from here. It is, however, in the same direction Chase and Tuck are going in. Great. If I run past them, maybe I could get away without any problems. But, one tiny, yet a huge problem. Chase's brother was also in the fight, which means Chase might be on his way to the school. Don't get me wrong, Chase is an amazing guy. That's why I have a crush on him, but I'm afraid he and Tuck are going to get into a few problems.

I don't know if my thoughts are right, so I prefer to keep my mouth shut and not tell anyone until I'm 100% sure. It all started with a dream, but that doesn't matter at the moment. There's too much to focus on right now. My problem is the last problem that should be dealt with. Right now, I'm focusing on Everest and Marshall, Zuma and Ella, Tuck, and apparently Storm. I walked to the corner of the school and looked in front of me.

Tuck was about a block and a half away as Chase was about three. If I crossed the street, I could run past them. They'll still see me, but I won't run past them. I crossed the street and saw they both progressed. Chase was almost out of sight. Wonder if he's really heading over to Jace's school. I plugged in my headphones and got ready to run. About five blocks. Not far, I mean, I don't think it is. I began to run and got a better view of Tuck. I saw him walking with his head slightly facing the ground and his hands in his pocket. From here, it looked like he was also looking up at someone in front of him.

Only thing, no one was in front of him. The only one he could be looking at would be Chase, but he was way far out. I made my way closer to Tuck until I passed him. Over the music and my feet hitting the ground, I wasn't sure if he noticed me or if he called my name. Something told me he was, but I kept running. Out of the blue, I felt something touch me from behind. I paused and turned around as I took one of my headphones out of my ear. It was Tuck. No way of avoiding him now. He breathed heavily and seemed out of breath.

"Skye," he said as he caught his breath. "I was calling you. Guess you didn't hear, but why are you and Everest acting the way you are? We text almost every day, but in person, you act like we're strangers. What's up?"

"I- uh, I can't talk right now," I said as I slowly walked away.

"Wait, but why?" He asked as he followed.

"I have to pick up my brother from school," I responded, putting my headphone back in my ear.

"Doesn't he take the bus?"

"You don't know that. I have to go."

"Wait, but seriously. I want to tell you something."

"I said I have to go," I said as my voice slightly cracked. Why? I honestly have no clue. My voice just came out like that. I didn't have tears in my eyes or the feeling of breaking down into tears. It just happened. I turned away and ran off before he could convince me to stay. My dream told me he wants to tell me something. The only way for him to not tell me is to avoid him.
