Christmas was surprisingly a good day.Did Emmy Aria and I get stupidly drunk..yes,but we had a good time doing it.Remind me to delete the tiktoks we made last night though...
Waking up felt like a dream,I can't believe a whole year has passed.It's soon going to be 2021 and that baffles my mind.
The hype house ball was today,I hadn't had time to prepare properly with a dress,hair,makeup and all that but Payton told me not to worry about it.This was about a month and a half ago,I have no idea what he has planned ,but knowing him.It's something good
Deciding it's time to get up I haul myself out of bed.My hair is a fat mess but I really can't be bothered to do it so I throw it into a bun and proceed with my day.
Breakfast was nothing more than a Turkey sandwich and an iced coffee.Aria and Emmy probably weren't getting up until the afternoon so I made it my mission to clean the apartment,we had made quite the mess the night before.
Cleaning was a weird form of therapy,yeah I hated therapy.But put in some music and it was all good,an hour had probably past.I had done the kitchen and the living room.And I was just about to start on my room when I heard the door unlock.
"WE'RE HOME!" The loud inviting voice of Lara fills out home.
"Hey Bestie"i laugh running to hug her wrapping my arms around her waist like I do with Payton.
"Hey Abs,Lara?" Alex laughs as he walks past us ,"wait till Payton sees this"he mutters under his breath.
Getting down I walk over to punch him in the arm,obviously it has no effect on him but he plays along acting hurt and playfully punching me back before pulling me into his chest.
"I missed you munchkin" he laughs
"Uhm.." A weird voice comes from the doorway alerting my attention a blond guy and a pretty brunette stood in the doorway looking confused.
"Oh Abi this is Max and Nai.Nai is Alex's girlfriend and Max-"
"The guy she's been hooking up with" Stella laughs walking past the three of them and straight into my arms.
"And you know this how?" I laugh squeezing her
"We heard it ,bruh" Eli shudders pulling in Stella's suitcase walking over to dust bump me."It's traumatic hearing your sister get-"
"Eli!" Lara cuts him off,"we don't talk about it" she's red in the face but I notice the mischievous exchange that she and Max share.
Nai stands there awkwardly with a sweet smile on her face.Alex walks over to her wrapping his arms around her,he whispers something in her ear kissing her cheek and holding her close.
It was nice to see them all happy,but it just made me miss Payton even more.But knowing I'll be flying out to see him and my parents made the wait even better.
"Woah.When did all this happen?" Emmy aks her blonde curls falling from her head."Hey,its Alex's hot british friend" she gasps pointing at him,"you got any more?" She whispers to alex as she walks past.
"Unfortunately not for you Em,you're still a kid"
She rolls her eyes pouring herself a glass of water,"so are we all going to the big ball later today?"
"That's the plan" Lara answers
The rest of the day was spent in preparation for the big ball later today.It wasn't until around 5pm when I got a message from Payton did I think about what I was going to wear.
I bought you somthing,hope you like it :) ~Payton
He messaged me to use my spare key to go to his apartment,apparently the dress was sat waiting for me in his room.
In a rush of excitement I squeal grabbing my keys and makeup bag making sure I have everything I need to get ready at my boyfriends house.
"What's changed your mood?" Aria asks
"Payton bought me a dress,I'm going to get it now.He just doesn't stop surprising me"
I don't wait long ,I was too excited to see what was waiting for me.I do my best not to speed down the roadways,instead taking my time to appreciate LA and the life that I've managed to build myself.
Once I get to Payton's house I park my car in his driveway,taking a moment in the car i grab my stuff ans walk upto the front door pushing the key in and turning it open.
"Surprise Shawty!" Payton shouts standing in the hallway
The complete shock of seeing him so soon hits me and tears fill my eyes it's been a couple of days and I'm an wreck.
"Come here baby" he laughs holding out his arms.
Accepting the invitation I run into them greeted by the familiar scent of his cologne.Boy do I love this kid.
"What are you doing here" i mumble snuggling my head against his neck.
"I couldn't let you go to the ball without a handsome date.And I'll be flying out to New York with you so-"
"So you can stay the night?" I finish off the sentence before he could even say a word.Instead he nods smiling down at me and placing a kiss on my forehead.
The ending of the year just got better.
