Dinner was going great,there wasnt a moment of silence at all,Payton and Dad talked continuously about music and the future.My dad even gave him some advice for when he starts looking for a place to move into.
I'm hoping Payton gets the hint and proposes the idea because if he doesn't I'm just going to have to do it myself.
"So I'm currently working on a project.I'm working with this company to sell influencer kits.So for kids who wanna get started but don't know what they need" Emmy says excitedly
I quietly excuse myself whilst she's talking to go and use the restroom,plus I'm sure my make up needed some touching up.The restaurant was unnecessarily hot.
As I'm walking a hand grabs my wrist spinning me around to come face to face with Payton.He gives me a devilish grin before pulling me into the restroom for babies and mothers.
"What are you doi-"
His hands wrap around my neck, pushing me against the wall his eyes glimmer as they stare into mine.And that one look he gave me sent my heart flying.
He smirks before slowly bringing his lips to mine,mine that were desperately yearning for a touch of his.But instead his hands move up from my neck to lift up my chin slightly,exposing my neck.
I knew straight away what he was going to do but he was to quick for me to resist,his lips collide with my neck kissing,biting,sucking until I have enough.Cupping his face I bring his face upto mine so that I can kiss him properly.
His hands snake around my waist,pulling me in closer to him.He kisses me deeper biting at my lip as he pulls back with a satisfied smile.
"I've been dying to kiss you since I first saw you.You're so gorgeous Abi"
A smile creeps it's way across my face,"And you,Payton Jay Moormeier, are so incredibly handsome"
He smiles pulling me in for one last final kiss before opening the bathroom door and leaving,"you come out in like 2 minutes" he whispers as he leaves.
I roll my eyes locking the door behind him to use the toilet in there and touch up my makeup before returning back to the table.
"Abi finally.We were discussing new years eve,we're probably going to go to times square.Watch a show on Broadway?" My mom suggests
I can tell how much my mom wants to do this so I nod my head,"yeah sounds like fun.Can we just book a hotel and spend the night there?"
"That,is a great idea!" Emmy announces "One of the Hotels with big views and massive windows so I can take instagram pictures with the lights in the background!"
"Sounds like a plan" my dad laughs
"Perfect" Payton agrees.
The rest of dinner went smoothly,we all left with full stomachs and tired eyes.I just want to get in bed and sleep for eternity now.This is the life.
As soon as we get to the apartment I head straight to my room saying goodnight to everyone.I get into the room collapsing onto the bed and groaning,"I need a hot steaming shower."
"A hot steaming shower huh?" Payton asks,"Can I join?"
"Ew,no" I scoff,"you wish"
"Uhm..why not" he asks trying his best to look offended
"Because that's weird" I laugh throwing a pillow at him.
"But I don't want you to leave me" he whines grabbing y waist to pull me back down onto the bed with him.
"You're such a child" I laugh
"Shut up" he chuckles."Can we sneak drinks into the hotel?I want to get so drunk.Imagine how funny it would be"
"Like when you had sleepovers with your friends.And you'd have to be quiet to not wake up your parents.But apparently everything is ten times funnier at night" I laugh
"Yeah,exactly.But picture it drunk" Payton says
"Okay okay.You know my parents will get us some if we ask.Dad will lecture us on safety but that's it."
"Great,you can go ask after your shower."
"Oh so you're letting me go now?" I ask
"Don't make me change my mind"he warns letting me go.
I tell my eyes flipping him off as I walk out the room and into the bathroom.
Half an hour and a hot shower later I'm back in bed snuggled in one of Payton's hoodies and fluffy socks.He has his head rested against my shoulder as we both watch the latest episode of euphoria together.
"What time is it?" I ask him
"2am"
"I want a hot chocolate" I tell him pausing the tv to get out of bed."You coming?" I ask turning to face him
"Yeah"he answers jumping out of bed to chase after me
I quickly run to the kitchen switching on the lamp on the counter.
"We have to be quick and stealthy" I whisper taking the milk out of the fridge.
"Don't you use water?" He asks confused.
"No!" I answer in disgust,"milk only"
"Whatever," he scoffs,"you're missing out"
Rolling my eyes I get to making the hot chocolate,until its steaming hot.And when it's done we both carry our mugs to the bedroom where we lay side by side.
"I love you Abi" he says kissing my forehead
"I love you too Payton" I answer snuggling closer to him.
"Do you ever think about the future we have together?" He asks randomly
"Yeah,I did.I still do,but for some reason it just feels like there's a brick wall between us and the future."
"I know what you mean baby.At some point we're going to have to come to a compromise.You wanna model and be an influencer and I wanna make music.Now I'm not saying let's not do that.But let's find a way to do it and be together."
"Okay,find a way to do it together.We can do that,easily" I reassure myself
"Yes we can"he smiles taking my cup to place it gently on the bedside table.Before turning to me with his arms wide open.
I gladly accept the invitation falling right into his arms.
