After driving for a little over an hour, I notice a big change in scenery. No longer can I see the New England landscape of snow covered trees. Instead I can see bright lights and tall buildings. Accompanied by the smell of traffic filling my nostrils as soon as I open the window to get a better view.

"We're in the city." I smile at Jimin as he squeezes my hand, the hand he refused to let go of for the entire duration of our journey here to the big apple.

"Happy?" He asks with a small smile.

"Very." I nod before leaning over and pecking him on the lips. "But it's Christmas day meaning everything will be closed until tomorrow. What are we going to do?"

"I have a plan." He grins, refusing to tell me any details until 20 minutes later when my jaw drops when I see where he's stopping the car.

"Close your mouth baby." Jimin laughs as he shuts off the engine, the valet running to open his door instantly as I still sit there in shock.

"Jimin! This is the Plaza! As in the hotel from home alone!!" I screech as the concierge comes to open my door for me.

"I knew you'd like it." He chuckles as he takes my hand and pulls me inside and out of the cold.

As soon as we walk through the large doors, my eyes can't move as fast as I wish they could. They feel as if they may fall out with the speed they are moving as I try to take in every detail of the most exquisite lobby I have ever seen in my life.

Pulling me over to the front desk, we are greeted by a middle aged woman, her glasses slid down to the tip of her nose as she sways slightly to the soft Christmas music playing in the background.

"Hello." She beams as soon as we step in front of her. "Welcome to the Plaza, do you have a reservation?"

"No." Jimin shakes his head before glancing at me. "What's the best room you have available?"

"Ah, well you are in luck sir." She smiles before tapping away on her keyboard. "The three bedroom royal suite is available. Or we have our one or two bedroom penthouse suites available. They are very beautiful and they offer you a private terrace with a view of the city."

"Which is the most impressive?" He asks as he slides his black American express centurion card across the counter, the lady and myself now having matching expressions as our mouths hang open.

"Well that would of course be the royal suite sir."

"We'll take it." He nods, snapping me out of my trance.

"No." I shake my head. "We don't need three bedrooms. A standard room will be just fine." I tell the receptionist as she looks between Jimin and I.

"Baby it's fine." Jimin tells me as he slides the card closer to her.

"No, no." I shake my head again. "How much is that room ma'am?"
