Much to my enjoyment and Jimin's dismay, Saturday rolled around pretty quickly. He spent the last three days seemingly continuously playing 20 questions with me about what my parents are like, and if my dad would bring up what he had heard Jimin yelling down the phone.
Of course for his peace of mind I said no. But the real answer is yes. Yes my dad would bring it up, probably when Jimin least expects it. But if lying is the only way to get him to shut up about it so I can finish cleaning my house in peace, then I'm gonna lie through my teeth.
Once I've finished mopping the kitchen floor, I throw the bucket of water out into my backyard before giving myself a quick shower, scrubbing away the cleaning chemicals from my skin just in time for me to go pick up my parents.
"Jimin, I'm just about to leave for the airport. Have you decided yet? Are you coming or staying here?" I ask the nervous man sitting on my couch with his thumb nail stuck between his teeth, his eyes wide when he turns to look at me when he hears the time has come. It's time to meet the parents.
"I think I'll stay."
"Okay." I nod as I grab my keys from the table. "I'll be about an hour."
"Wait! Should I stay? Or does it look better if I come?" He asks, jumping up from the couch.
"Honestly Jiminie, my dad knows you stuck your dick in my ass." I laugh "I don't think it makes a difference where he meets you for the first time."
"Jiminie?" He smiles. "I like that."
Nodding whilst chuckling at him and his short attention span, I turn on my heel, almost making it out of the door before he runs up behind me and grabs my hand.
"I'll come with you. I think I'll go insane waiting here alone."
"Then let's go." I grin, pulling him out of the house and locking my door. Walking over to my car, I feel Jimin hesitating behind me causing me to sigh in frustration. "Now what?!"
"I think it's better if I drive, but I wanna go get my truck. Do we have time?"
"Barely." I tell him as I glance down at my watch, looking up to see him running down the street. "What are you doing?!"
"Wait there!!"
As the time hits the 10 minute mark, I'm starting to think he actually ran away for real before I look to see him in his truck roaring down the road. His large tyres crunch easily through the snow before he comes to a stop in front of me.
"Well hello there miss, need a ride?" He grins as I slip into the passenger seat.
"Let's just go." I laugh as I buckle myself in before he pulls off down the street.
Waiting outside the arrivals terminal, I can feel him twitching beside me each time a new crowd of passengers spill through the sliding doors, his grip on my hand tightening every time he sees an older couple that looks remotely like me.
