"So you really just literally follow the sun?" Jimin's mom asks my parents, leaning across the table as if she's actually interested in their way of life.
After my secret was told to the entire room, an eerie silence fell upon it whilst Jimin continued to stare up at me with glossy eyes. His mother gave a half hearted apology, at least good enough for my mom not to kick her ass and kick her out. So we just continued on with dinner, all of us feeling relieved that the night didn't turn into a complete disaster.
"You really are incredible, baby. Do you know that?" Jimin coos beside me, his elbow resting on the table as he turns to face me.
"I just wanted to make my life on my own. Nothing incredible about that." I smile at him.
"Y/N." He whispers, tucking my hair behind my ear. "I think I'm fa-"
"Oh my god! She did it again! Y/N! This dessert is insanely good!" His dad chimes, stuffing another profiterole into his mouth.
"Will you help me clear the table?" I ask Jimin, laughing at his dad as he continues to fill his dish with more dessert.
Standing up and grabbing a few of the dirty dishes, I smile at the way everybody seems to be finally getting along. At least to the point that I know I can leave the room without the fear of them killing each other.
After placing a few of the dishes on the counter top, I turn to go and grab some more just to be met by Jimin's broad chest.
"Do you want kids someday?" He blurts out, making me chuckle nervously before I notice the seriousness in his eyes. His head is tilted towards me as he awaits my answer whilst he slowly lifts his hands to rest them on my shoulders.
"Someday, yes. But I'm in no rush. Do you want kids?" I counter, taking in the fact that my answer caused his features to soften.
"Same. I'm in no rush." He smiles softly, leaning in and pressing his lips to mine.
Suddenly remembering that this must be the first real kiss we have managed to share all day, we seem to forget our company in the other room and allow our bodies to melt into each other, both of us sucking in large breaths through our noses as he begins to move me backwards until my back comes in contact with the cabinets behind me.
Pulling back for air, we stare at each other for a moment before pressing our foreheads together, our eyes never leaving each others whilst we enjoy our only alone time we've managed to get a grasp of today.
"Y/N. I-"
"Sorry to interrupt."
Looking over Jimin's shoulder, I see his mom placing some dishes on the counter.
"I was hoping I could talk to the pair of you for a moment."
Clearing his throat as he steps back from me to face her, he wraps my hand tightly into his before giving her a nod signalling for her to continue.
