The next day Jimin went to Y/N's house to pack up her things with the help of Taehyung and Jungkook. Bringing mostly her clothes and personal items for now knowing that they have plenty of time for her to decide if she wants to sell or simply rent it out.
She did feel much better today with only a few cramps here and there so she thought it was best that she went back to work.
But as soon as she walked into the office, she was met with the usual exasperated Daniel sitting at his desk with his head in his hands looking like he's close to pulling his hair out.
"You know Daniel, if you don't start to chill out a bit you'll probably end up having a heart attack or something."
"Bad news." He huffs out, leaning back in his chair. "I've had to fire your assistant Alex."
"What?" Y/N gasps, walking closer to his desk. "Why?"
"I found him fraternising with one of our players. I say fraternising, I mean sleeping with and accepting gifts from. I knew something was up when he suddenly pulled up in a brand new range rover. Especially when I caught him in it with her straddling him in the car park."
"Jesus." Y/N breathes out, fighting hard to hide her emotions as he spoke. "You couldn't just turn a blind eye or something?"
"What? And put my own job on the line?" He scoffs. "If the big bosses found out I was letting this stuff happen in their casino they'd have my head. And not to mention all the other staff would probably start doing it too."
"How about if the player stopped coming here? That wouldn't be technically fraternising anymore would it?" She asked with hope. She was finally accepting that it was time for her and Jimin to move forward and then this conversation happens. So she obviously had to try and do anything to make her boss see the light.
"And lose revenue so the staff can get a leg over?" He frowns. "Not a chance in hell. You all signed a contract when you started working here and I expect everyone to abide by it. And that includes you too Y/N, don't let me down."
"Yes Daniel." She sighed with defeat, leaving the office to walk out on the floor and pick up the pieces that Alex had left in his wake.
Trying to make her way towards the poker room was no easy feat. She was constantly being called after by the other players, some asking where Alex was, most asking for free meals and rooms for the night. Not feeling like arguing tonight as another cramp surged through her, she just mindlessly agreed to every request. Hearing from each person how much they like her and how she's the best host blah, blah, blah.
It just made her realise how much she had relied on her assistant and as much as she would miss him, she needed a new one. Fast.
Pushing the door open to the poker room, she smiled as she saw her seven men sitting at their usual poker table, laughing and joking together as they awaited their dealers arrival.
