Heart's Desires [ Adrian Pucey ]

Part 33

A couple of weeks had gone by, and Terence ended up switching his seats. I don't blame him. I would too. I did try to talk to him on a daily, but he would avoid me. Again, I had it coming. Adrian told me to, just let him go. It was hard to. Terence and I were together for over a year, and I just fucked it up. I threw it all into the garbage. I didn't want him to find out that I cheated on him from a picture. I was sure it was the little bitch, Tamasha. I still didn't have any evidence, but I knew sooner or later I would find some. I got ready for the Hogsmeade date that I had with Adrian. I felt bad going, but I already told him I would go, so I couldn't backtrack. I had my hair up and had simple clothes on. I told Adrian to meet me directly at Hogsmeade just in case because I didn't want Terence to see us. None of my other friends were going because they were afraid of running into Sirius Black, but I didn't see it as a big deal.

When I got there, I walked around to find Adrian, and then I saw a glimpse of him from the corner of my eye. I got closer and saw that he was gripping onto Tamasha's arm. He saw I was there and signaled me to come closer.

"Tell her!" Adrian exclaimed furiously at Tamasha, who was on the verge of crying.

"What is going on?" I queried, looking at the both of them with a disoriented expression."Come on, spit it out! Or I'll go tell Acantha!" Adrian roared at her.

"Okay, okay, calm down, please," Tamasha was crying, and she walked closer to me, and Adrian following her. Tamasha looked frightened "The night, you followed me," She paused and looked back at Adrian and he scolded at her to continue. "That night, Adrian didn't cheat on you, at least not under his right mind, he- we- Acantha told me to slip him a draught in his drink, and well, he ended up fainting on his way, to where ever he was going, and I levitated him into, that, um, room, and then Acantha took care of the rest, she used a memory charm on Adrian to make him think he did, you know cheat. But, I guess her charm started wearing off, and he went looking for me yesterday once he remembered talking to me before, you know what happened. After he kept shouting at me to tell him, what I did, since he couldn't remember anything," She stopped talking and stood there looking at the floor.

Part of me wanted to slap her and pull her hair off, along with Acantha's, but I restrained myself from doing so and quietly asked, "Why would you guys do that?"

"I'm so sorry, but I can't tell you. You're going to have to ask her. Please don't tell her I told you this," Tamasha took a step forward and pleaded. "Okay, but go before I get even madder," It took every cell in my body for me not to slam her onto that very floor we were standing on. Once she ran off, Adrian walked over to me, and I sighed. 

He saw how angry I was, and he leaned in and whispered in between kisses, "Remember when I asked you to take a shower with me a while back?" I leaned into his shoulder and nodded, "I think it's time we go do that," He added, removing his lips, and intertwining his hand with mine.

 "I think I owe you either way," I sniggered as we made our way back to the castle.
