Once we are back at the hotel, I get off the boat first, Peter isn't far behind. “Thank you, Dimitri.” He doesn't respond, he just continues forward on the boat. “Rude,” I state, under my breath.
“Morgan.” My boyfriend taps my shoulder. “Hmm?”
“Do you still want to talk?” Oh, yeah. I still have to make this right. “Yeah, let's go back to your room.”
The journey to his room is a peaceful one. Neither of us wants to wake anyone, so we stay dead silent.
I open his door and walk in, Ned's asleep, except now he is resting in a bed, covered up. We'll have to whisper the entire time I'm here.
“Sorry, Betty is a light sleeper. Plus, if Ned did wake up, at least he knows about, you know, who we are.” Peter nods and sits down. “I get it. Ned's a heavy sleeper anyway.”
The brunet lightly pats the portion of the bed beside him. I take his hint and sit.
“I wanted to talk about us and everything that's been going on.” The air around feels stiff. As much as that sounds like the dreaded breakup phrase, it's not. Far from it.
“I've been busy with interning and that has stopped us from hanging out with each other outside of school. Which in turn has stopped us from socializing at school. Everything sound correct so far?”
“Uh, yeah?”
“Okay, we're on the same page with that. How about you avoiding me. Let's start with on the plane.” His hand rests not two inches away from mine.
“This sounds silly. I, uh, kind of left the bathroom a mess, so when I saw you I didn't want you to think I was that guy and I went back in to clean up.”
Aw, Peter. I already knew you were that guy because all guys are like that. “I'm glad I inspired you to be a decent human being and clean up after yourself.” I smile warmly, so he knows I'm messing with him. “I knew you were going to laugh.” I rest my head on his shoulder.
A few hours pass as we catch up on everything that we missed.
I look at my watch and notice it's two in the morning. “Wow, it got late. We need sleep.” I kiss his cheek and stand up. “Can't wait for Paris.”

Speed walking to Ned I grab his arm. “Hey, man, are you sure you're good?” Morgan should be trailing behind me.
“Oh, dude, I'm fine. Don't worry. Seriously, getting tranqed in the neck by Nick Fury, probably the coolest thing to ever happen to me.” An arm brushes against mine then wraps around the joint of mine.
“It is pretty awesome, yeah. I'm just happy I don't have to go to Prague.” His hand slaps mine as we continue the handshake.
“Good news!” Harrington approaches us from behind. “We're going to Prague.” No way, I couldn't believe this. “What? Prague?” I ask.
“Yeah. Tour company called. They upgraded us. You should've heard me on the phone with them. I really gave them hell.” Harrington looks confident.
Dell ruins this, “All I heard was crying.” We follow Harrington. “I can't believe this. How petty can you be to endanger an entire class of students just because we declined.” Morgan groans beside me.
“Look at our upgraded ride.” It's a black bus with Dimitri holding a sign that says, “Midtown High.”
“Peter, what? What's going on?” Ned, Morgan, and I all fall behind slightly?
“I think Nick Fury just hijacked our summer vacation.” Ned is way too excited about this. “Awesome.”
“Yeah, Awesome,” I mutter. Morgan sighs and we start heading towards the vehicle.
