I wake up to a call from my father. I think about ignoring it, but then I remember last time I did that.

"Hey, Iron Dad." I rub my eyes and climb out of bed. It's six am. A whole hour before I have to get up.

"Hey, I wanted to drive you to school today, since we've got the big move coming up." He says as I hear Happy yelling at traffic. I have my own apartment since you never know where Tony Stark is going to be at any given moment. I'm practically emancipated. Not legally as I also don't exist to the public.

Everyone would freak out if they knew Tony Stark had a secret daughter. Even though I was born before Dad's Ironman transformation. He said it was so I could live a normal life, but being a secret is hardly ordinary.

"Okay, sure fine by me. But I don't have school for another hour." I walk around the large apartment and my eye catches the rocket boots on my workbench. It's going to be much harder to steal supplies when they move upstate.

"I know, I also wanted to take you to breakfast. Somewhere classy." Sitting at my workbench, I clear up an area to eat my cereal.

"Oh, so now you tell me. Halfway through my bowl of Cap'n Crunch." He laughs as if he knew I was joking. "How are we going to stay discreet in a public place."

"It's not public, well, not today it's not. I rented the place out for just you and me. The workers are getting paid double to keep hush-hush about the whole thing."

I sigh and finish my first breakfast. " 'Kay, when will you be here." He gives me a time, we say our goodbyes, and I'm headed for the shower.

I see Happy's car, he has a fake mustache and a bald cap on. "Why is Happy dressed up as white Steve Harvey?" Dad wraps an arm around my shoulder. "He comes here too often, people might suspect who he is. According to him." I just laugh and tell Dad about what's been happening since I last saw him in person.

When we get to the restaurant it is completely void of people. As expected. Dad pulls out my chair and bows. "Thank you, kind sir." I curtsy as I mock him. Taking the seat in front of me he puts his serious face on.

"Morgan, my dear sweet daughter. It has come to my attention that I will be leaving you all alone in New York City, an epicenter of supervillain activity. This is not ideal, as it may take longer for me to come and save you." The waiter comes with our food. He must have ordered beforehand.

"I know you want me to move upstate, but I can't, I really like Midtown, and transferring schools this late would suck." I begin to eat my food.

"You just started school. You haven't even had Homecoming yet."

"No, I mean being a sophomore. I just want to finish up school and then I'll head off to some college closer." He nods and I know that he won't press any farther, we've discussed this plenty times before. We sit in comfortable silence for a while.

"So, what's up with you and that Peter boy your always talking about?" I almost choke on my food. "I'm just friends with him, where did you even get the idea that we'd be more?" Dad looks at me confused.

"I didn't ask if you were more. I was just asking if you guys were still hanging out. But now that you say that, being more than friends seems to be on your mind." I wave my hands in front of my face. I don't like Peter like that. At least I don't think I do. Even if I did he has the hots for Liz. "No no no no! It's just- uh I meant- you phrased it weirdly, and I don't always talk about him."

My dad shrugs his shoulders. "You talk about him more than the girl you say is your best friend. Anyway it doesn't matter, as long as you are still hanging around him." The last part is barely audible.

I finish my meal and wipe my face with the napkin. "I need to get to school, it starts soon." We both stand up and leave. It seems Iron Dad paid for everything in advance. Happy is asleep in the car, Dad knocks on the window and startles him awake.

I find my way into the school. It's the norm, teens running around doing various things. I hear Betty and Jason talking about Homecoming. I open my locker for my textbooks and hear Ned talking from far away. I can't make up what he's saying or where he is. I head down the hall and eventually I find him and Peter.

"I don't know how jobs work."
"That's exactly how they work."

I come up behind them and join in. "Hey boys, what's new." They don't turn to see who the voice belongs to, they know it's me. "Pete and I are going to build my new Lego Death Star." In response, Peter mumbles about his internship. That dammed internship, I still don't know what he is covering up with that excuse. My dad has never once mentioned it to me. I hate to accuse Peter of lying.

"Sick, how many pieces?" I cut back in.
"Three thousand eight hundred and three."
"I'm in. I'll help since Pete can't."

"I didn't know you liked Star Wars." I shake my head, "I've never watched them, but I do love Legos." He laughs as we continue down the corridor.

"Oh, " he chuckles, "I'll knock out the basic bones of the Death Start at my place. And, and then we'll head to Peter's afterward..." Then suddenly Peter slows down to stare at Liz. Ned continues talking but both me and Peter are preoccupied looking at someone we will never have. "...because for the most part, the difficult thing is the base of it. The top half we can knock out in two hours, tops." I zoned back in for the last part. It seems like Peter did too.

"That'd be great." Then the school bell rings. I realize just how far I am from my destination. "I'm gonna be late!"
