After the break, I go back to the bus. Before I get on, however, Dimitri hands me a black backpack. “What the hell?” He then hands me a small piece of paper. “Read it when you are alone.” Then I go to sit with Pete and instantly fall back to sleep.

A while later I am abruptly woken up when Peter falls onto me. “Hey, what the hell!” His breath is heavy, but I decide not to question it. He apologizes then fixes himself.

My phone buzzes, it's a text from Brad. I have yet to save his number.

Hey I want to talk to u, come back here for a sec

I pass over Peter and carefully walk down the aisle. “Hey, what's up?” He moves to the window seat, so I can sit beside him.

“I walked into something I think you want to see.” He opens his gallery on his phone and looks for something.

He scrolls through it for a second. “You find it?”

“Uh, this is so weird. It was right here on my phone.” He frantically searches.

“Uh, well, if you find it. Just send it. I'm going to head back to my seat.” I do, and I doze off again.

It's dark when we are finally at the new hotel. Everyone enters the main door, then we reach another set, this time two men open it for us.

I hear everyone fawn over the luxury building. “This is more like it,” I say. After all, this is what I've become acquainted with.

Harrington eventually starts speaking. “Everyone, get settled in, rest up because tonight, big surprise, is Prague's annual Carnival of Lights.” Peter's phone buzzes, he steps away to take the call.

I sort of zone out while Harrington is speaking. This tends to happen a lot. I snap back when he tells us we have our own rooms. “Finally.”

Peter walks up to me, “It's Nick.” I understand and nod.

We all head to our rooms, except Peter, who will be sneaking out the first chance he gets.

The rooms are nice, nothing too out of ordinary. At least not for me. I take this time to read the paper from Dimitri.

“Your new suit for your time abroad. Whether you use it or not is up to you. Just put these on and call for your A.I. assistant as normal.” Why would they go out of their way to make me a suit when I declined.

“Whatever, waste your money. I do have to give them credit though. This is much more convenient than metal rings.” I open the backpack and see the metal wings that I assumed were there.

Taking notice of the front pocket, I unzip it and there is my new bodysuit, along with a pair of gloves and a pair of socks. The main suit almost looks like Black Widow's. I tear up momentarily but push it back.

Before we are supposed to go back down for the carnival, I take a quick shower.

I escape to a ledge of the building after my confrontation with Fury. As I'm looking down, I see a blur fly up to me. “Fury asked me to come up here and see how you were doing. He just- He felt bad about snapping at ya.” Mysterio floats in front of me.

“Really?” I ask.
“You guys do have sarcasm on this Earth, right?” Of course, it was sarcasm. You'd think after all these years of knowing Morgan I'd get better at sensing sarcasm.

“How you feeling?”
“Uh... I didn't think I was gonna have to save the world this summer. I know that makes me sound like such a jerk. I just, I had this plan with my girlfriend, and now, it's all ruined.” He sits on the railing beside me and removes his cylindrical helmet.

“You're not a jerk for wanting a normal life, kid. It's a hard path. You see things, you do things, you make choices. People look up to you and even if you win a battle, sometimes they die.”

I know he is trying to help me, but he's making me feel worse.

“I like you, Peter. You're a good kid.” I meet his eyes and smile. “There's a part of me that wants to tell you, turn around, run away from all this. Then there's another part of me that knows what we're about to fight, what's at stake, and I'm glad you're here.”

Ultimately, this is what has to happen.

“Me too.”
“But you're worried about your friends.”
“Yeah. Just always feel like I'm putting them in danger.”
“Look, just get them inside and keep them in a safe place for just a few hours. They'll be all right.”

I contemplate his previous words. “It's really nice, to have somebody to talk to about superhero stuff, you know? There's Morgan, but she's been so busy with her own stuff lately, I don't want to bother her,” I admit.

He simply replies, “Anytime. And hey, we survive this, you'll have all summer to kill Brad.”
