"Mai, drop in on the Spidey Tracker camera." The video shows up on my holographic board. He's talking to someone. Spidey's voice is deeper, but not in a way he could have done naturally.
I don't care what you are, a boy, a girl-"

He's interrupted, "I'm not a girl! I'm a man. Come on, man. Look, who is selling these weapons? I need to know. Give me names or else." I can't help but snicker at Spider-Cop's method of making the man talk.

The man then slams his trunk shut, it seems to startle me and Spidey, since my view quickly jumps back. "You ain't ever done this before, huh?"

"Deactivate interrogation mode." I honestly forgot about that bit. I remember watching bad cop shows when I wrote that down as an idea.

"Look, man, these guys are selling weapons that are crazy dangerous. They can't just be out on the streets. Look, if one of them can just cut Delmar's bodega in half-"

The other man - Aaron, as Mai's criminal database scan tells me- cuts in. "You know Delmar's?"

"Yeah, best sandwich in Queens." He sure likes to say that, doesn't he?

They go off-topic, discussing sandwich places. All I can do is facepalm, "Really, Pete, you need to get better at this part of the job."

I regain my focus on the situation when the camera turns away. Spidey mumbles To himself as he starts to walk away. "Stupid interrogation mode. Karen, don't ever do that again." I am completely insulted. "Don't blame my program for your lack of expertise," I say out loud, even though he can't hear me.

Aaron's voice comes through my speakers, faintly, but it's there. "The other night, you told that dude, 'if you shoot somebody, shoot me.' It's pretty ballsy. I don't want those weapons in this neighborhood. I got a nephew who live here."

I grunt, "Why would you do that. You aren't bullet-proof yet!" I stand from my chair to pace. He's too reckless.

"Who are these guys? What can you tell me about the guy with the wings?" I continue to pay attention to the conversation, even if my eyes aren't focused on it.

"Other than he's a psychopath dressed like a demon, nothing. I don't know who he is or where he is." Spidey let's out an adorable sigh. 'Wait what? How is a sigh adorable? Get a hold of yourself, Morgan.' I think to myself.

"I do know where he's gonna be."
"Really?" Both Spidey and I say.
"Yeah, this crazy dude. I used to work with, he's supposed to be doing a deal with him."

Spidey celebrates prematurely and starts to walk away. I near scream at the screen but Aaron says what I'm thinking. "Hey. Hey. Hey. I didn't tell you where. You don't have a location."

"Right, of course. Yeah, my bad. Silly. Just- yeah. Where is it?"
"Can I give you some advice?" Spidey hums a confirmation.
"You got to get better at this part of the job." I twirl with my head in my hands before pointing them to the screen. "That's what I'm saying."

"I don't understand. Im intimidating." Spidey crosses his arms right over top of my camera, blocking my view and muffling my audio.

"Staten island ferry, eleven." With that, I grab my four armor rings, slipping them on as I walk towards the lump of metal on my wall. The very first pair of my version of the metal wings. They're simple, and they don't help much with flying, I still need my boots for that, but they help with steering. My goal is to make them function the same as real wings. They also conceal into a backpack. So I can wear them but not be suspicious.

I take a cab most of the way, I still don't fully trust my flying capabilities. When I reach the water I take off the backpack and my wings unfold. For a total wingspan of six feet.

The rings on my knees and elbows activate, with the last touch of my helmet, I'm ready to help Peter for real this time. It's not too long before I'm flying in the air. The wings help with gliding and steering, as I predicted. I reach the Ferry and I see Spidey already fighting bad guys. He webs a few men and pulls them backward.

"Are you guys okay? My bad. That was a little hard." I land with a metallic thud. Spidey turns to me with a surprised look on his face. "Those are new." I laugh and he reloads his web-shooter. "Oh, yeah, I just bought them, they're real Opal. That's my birthstone." I point to my earrings, know he meant my wings.

He turns and shoots a web grenade, it attaches a guy to the wall. Spidey and I get ready to fight some more when the FBI comes. "Freeze! FBI!" One agent yells.

They continue to scream and I raise my hands Spidey does the same. "Wait, what do you mean, FBI?" There's a small pause as Karen speaks within the suit. "I know what the FBI means, but what are they doing here?"

"I'm assuming someone called them," I say in a deadpan tone. Then there are some noises coming from behind the other vehicles. Abruptly, a figure quickly comes flying out. It's the man in the wings.

The agents turn their aim towards him. Spidey starts yelling for people to get out of the way and tries to push me away. "Morgan, get out of here. Before it too late." I lose my balance for a moment but regain it as soon as I hear Spidey trying to make me leave the fight. "No, I'm fighting too. I want to help!"

At that moment Spidey is hit by the giant pair of wings. He falls onto the water. I hear the man command his guys. I look away and then back to the water. Spider is webbed to the man's metal wings.

So much happens so fast, that it over in an instant, I was was worried about Peter's life that I forget to fight. Thankfully, Spidey is back on the Ferry and webs the device that fell from the wings.
"You're messing with things you don't understand."

Then the Ferry starts to crack down its middle. I fly off to an aerial view. "Morgan, help anyone that falls off the boat!" I hear Spidey yell from afar and I follow his order.

I grab everyone I can, trying to find a smaller boat to drop them off at. Not many fall off into the water, I'm constantly circling around it in case of more.

Spidey is shooting webs on both sides of the Ferry. His webs seem to hold it, now all we need is to get a rescue boat.
Then the webs start to break, I rush to help Spidey as he pulls the boat together. But before I get there the half start to join together. Then I see him. "Dad?" If he sees me I'm in major trouble, not just for this but the suit and whatever other reason he can throw in there for good measure.

Drones fly to the sides of the boat and push them together. I try to warn Spidey, but he follows Iron Man. "No, you run away from the guy who is mad at you!" I yell hope he would hear me.

That's was a big mistake though, as Dad also hears me, and now he knows I'm here. He continues welding the boat but I know he's completely engulfed with rage right now.

I land beside Peter. "Mr. Stark? Hey Mr. Stark. Could I do anything?" I try to stop him, "Hey, stop you'll just make this worse."

He, of course, continues on. "Could I do anything? What do you want me to do?"

Iron Man turns, and even though the suit's mask remains unchanged, you can see the anger. " I think you two have done enough." He flies away, but I know it's not the end of this.
