Erlebniss- The experiences, positive or negative, that we feel most deeply.

It is him, it has to be. The thought never registered that he would be going here. The three boys sit across from us girls. "Kash, this is Everly, Kinzley, and Vayda." Porter introduces. "Girls, this is Kashton. He's joining us for lunch, so please play nice, Vayda, I'm talking to you." He teases.

I scoff, "Are you the girl that was...?" Kashton trails off.

"That was out at 3 a.m.?" I finished. "Yeah I am."

"Wait, you two know each other?" Hegan questions, looking back and forth between the two of us.

"He just saw me when I was on a run, Heg," I replied. "Nothing exciting."

Hegan nods before going into the next subject of today. Let's say that lunch goes how I expected. You could tell people are looking over this way, staring and whispering about the new kid. We are a small school in an old town, new kids aren't something that we get often. Kashton seems nice I guess, but I'm still skeptical.

When the bell rings, I quickly say goodbye to the girls before heading to my next class. I usually walk with Porter because our classes are in the same hall, but he seems a little busy with Kashton. Honestly I could care less.

I take my usual seat in the back and pull out my notebook. I look up at the board, uninterested and fiddle with my pencil. Suddenly, Kashton walks through the door. You have got to be kidding me. Please don't spot me.

But he does, a boyish grin shows up on his face as me makes his way back to me. He sits down in the desk next to mine. I give him a side glance and a slight smile so I don't come off as a complete bitch, before going back to pretending to be interested in today's lesson. My pencil taps lightly against the desk, along to the beat of my music.

"Hey can we talk?" He asks hesitantly.

"Umm what about?"

"Last night," it really was this morning but whatever. I won't be that person.

"What's really there to talk about?" I question, still fiddling with my pen and avoiding eye contact. "I was on a run, I fell, you asked if I was okay, that was it."

"Why did you run off?"

A small chuckle comes out of me, is he serious? "Because, I was on a run. What were you wanting me to do? Fall and look up at you like you're the hottest guy I've ever set eyes on and instantly fall in love with you? Beg you for your number, saying we should go out to lunch?" I laugh again. "Sorry Kashton, but this isn't some romance love story."

He looked at me shocked. "What? No, that's not what I-"

"Hey Kashton." ah there she is, the devil b.b. herself. I was wondering when she was going to make an appearance. My definition of b.b. for her is Barbie Bitch but apparently it really stands for Bailey Ballet. I honestly like my version better. "You know, you can come sit over here if you want. You don't need to suffer over there."

I roll my eyes, is that supposed to hurt my feelings or something? "Uh thanks, but I'm good right here." B.b. and her squad send me daggers. Kashton ignores them, going back to our conversation which I have no idea what the point of it is. "Look Vayda, that's not what I was thinking-"

I smile when he gets cut off again but this time by the teacher. "So, uh, good afternoon." Mr. Clark grumbles. "You guys are seniors, so I really shouldn't have to explain what to do today, the instructions are on the board. Work with partners, or not. When you're done I don't care what you do."
