I couldn't be more relieved to have it be winter break. I've been needing a break and now I can finally breathe since I've received one. School just got in the way and messed with my mind. Thank the Lord, it's my last year. Now I can focus on what I've been wanting to do.

"Focus Foster!" Carter yells at me.

I grit my teeth, blocking the blow Waters sends toward my face. Okay, maybe I still haven't been able to focus.

"How's the brunette doing, Vayda right?" Waters taunts. I know what he's doing and it works.

I'm able to uppercut his jaw, more out of anger than for practice. Waters' angry eyes meet mine and he charges toward me. We circle each other multiple times before he jabs the side of my head. Waters moves quickly, trying to get a punch to my gut. He's going to wear himself out. He breathes heavily, making another move to circle me like before. He swings his arm at me again, this time I move away causing him to stumble forward. I take the opportunity to hit him in the shoulder, sending him to the ground. Our ending bell goes off but that doesn't stop Waters. He springs to his feet, stalking towards me again, his movements filled with rage.

Carter is yelling at both of us, but we pretend not to hear. Waters repeats his actions and aims right for my face, but he's getting sloppy.

Before I can move, Carter is between us, shoving us away from each other. "Snap the fuck out of it!" He yells. "Both of you!"

Muttering something under his breath, he grabs my shoulders, leading me away from the ring. "What the hell is wrong with you, Foster?"

"Nothing."

"Doesn't seem like nothing, boy," He snaps. "What is going on between you and Andrew?"

That's his name?

"Nothing," I shrug, grabbing my back and swinging it over my shoulder. "We simply just dislike each other."

"What is this? Second grade?" My irritation starts to grow the more he speaks. "Grow up, boy. Don't be makin' me kick you outta here."

I simply ignore him, knowing it was nothing more than an empty threat. I know Carter would never kick me out. If anyone gets kicked out it would be Waters, and I would be lifting if I said I would be disappointed if he was.

"Took you long enough," Porter laughs as he swings open the door, climbing in.

"Yeah sorry about that," I shrug my shoulders, pulling out of his driveway. "I was at the gym longer than I thought I would, had some things to deal with."

"Well it seemed like forever, I'm starving, man," he grins, slouching down into his seat. "You up for the diner? It's the end of Logan's shift, we can just meet up with him early."

I agree, ignoring the small part of me that hopes Vayda's working there right now. I need to get her out of my head...

"Nick's having a party tonight," Logan mentions, sliding our food in front of us before leaving forwards against the counter. "You guys up?"

"Hell yeah," Parker stuffs a handful of fries into his mouth. "What 'bout you, Kash?"
