While I was watching Ben, a wave of cold air hits me from behind and I shiver. I don't need to turn around, I know my private, fun time with Ben is over.

"You didn't get us a table?" A nasally voice asked behind me.

Slowly, with my juice in hand, I turn around on the stool and look at the group behind me. The girls were glaring at me, and I can't stop the laughter when I take them all in. Heather Michaels, Beth Foster, and Grace Winter are standing behind me dressed as Disney princess with the full ball gowns and crowns. Their boyfriends were dressed in the proper Prince Charming to match them.

"Holy crap!" I cover my laughter.

None of them are amused at my fits of giggles. Beth introduces me to Jack Hanson, my date for the evening. The man dressed as Beetlejuice extends his hand and waits for me to shake it, which I don't.

"It would have been nice to let us know you left." Heather glares at me.

"I would have, but I didn't want to interrupt the 'who's hotter' convo." I roll my eyes.

Jack tries talking to me again, but he starts with his major at Harvard. I'm not feeling him from the start, but he never stood a chance. My heart was with someone else, and my mind was definitely thinking about how the night would end.

Glancing at the end of the bar, I silently beg Ben to rescue me. Batman is watching us with an intense glare. He takes the money from the girls and quickly walks towards my group. I see the comment before I hear it.

"I'm so honored to be serving royalty this evening. What can I start each of you with?" His deep voice shouts over my head.

Each of my roommates give their drink orders, and then look at each other when Ben tells them the total for said drinks. John, Heather's boyfriend pulls out his wallet. I glare at him when he tells Ben to keep the dollar change for a tip.

"Allyson, let's go look for a table." Beth tells me.

I shrug my shoulders and shake my head no. "I can't. I was told to not leave this spot."

Looking over my shoulder, I see Ben smiling and nodding his head at her.

"The bartender is going to tell you what to do? Allyson, move your ass off the stool and stop flirting with the help." Heather snarls over the Eptic song blasting throughout the club.

"Last time I checked; you guys didn't get to tell me what to do. I'm a grown ass woman and can flirt with whoever I want to." I shout back to them.

"UGH. YOU'RE SUCH A PILL," Grace yells in my face.

"Is that bad?" I grin.

They are so easy to annoy. It's such a fun game for me. I like to get under their skin.

Two of the boys disappear in search of a table, while Grace and Heather continue to yell at me for ruining the evening. Turning around to face my handsome bartender, I look at him with pleading eyes for a strong drink. I breathe a sigh of relief when my glass is half vodka and a dash of juice.

"Thank you." I whisper to him.

Jack and John are back at the bar announcing there isn't a table available, this doesn't sit well with the princesses. They are complaining about having to stand all night with heels, the boys are angry because they just want to start drinking. Soon, they are yelling at each other for taking too long to get ready and that's why they are standing.

Ben clears his throat and looks at me, while addressing my roommates. "This bartender could probably get your group upstairs." He nods.

The upstairs he is referring to, is the VIP room and too far from the main bar. I look at him shaking my head, silently begging him to not let me be alone with them. He was the reason I was here tonight. He was the reason I wanted to stay in this very chair. Smiling, he points to the two bartenders that just walk to the bar and start taking people's orders.

"I'm moving upstairs." He says to me.

My roommates start heading to the stairs, I jump off the stool and start behind them. I glance at Ben while he reports off. Jack hurries next to me.

"I like the cat costume." He smiles.

I stop walking and look at him. "It's Catwoman." He shakes his head like he didn't understand. "From Batman?"

Who the hell doesn't know Batman?

Rolling my eyes, we continue to push our way through the bodies of people in front of us. We wait at the stairs for Ben to arrive, my ungrateful group goes ahead of me when he gets there. I watch them all file up in a single line.

Ben moves so he is standing in front of me, he lets everyone get a good distance before looking back at me. Being this physically close to him, makes my pulse surge. He grabs me around the waist and pushes me against the dark wall. His hand moves to my hips to hold me in place. Heat spreads like a wild fire through my body. I have been waiting for this moment.

There isn't a bar separating us.

I glance around the dark club and see Bobby grinning from the VIP door. A couple of the waitresses are smiling in our direction and nodding their approval. Smiling, I know Bobby is on everyone's earpiece telling them Ben was about to get his kiss.

With my attention back on his beautiful face, I smile at him. My breathing is matching my fast heartbeat. Ben's hands on my hips are too much for me to handle. Everything in my body is tingling with anticipation of his lips connecting with mine. He runs a thumb across my bottom lip and kisses me sweet and quick.

I pull away and look at him. This wasn't the first kiss that I visualized for us. Since meeting him, I expected him to be rough and demanding. I pictured him grabbing my face and smashing his lips to mine. We would be clawing at each another like animals, demanding more as our clothing hit the floor below us.

But that's not what happens.

Disappointed, I wrinkle my nose up at him and frown. Shaking my head, I pull away from him and take the steps two at a time. I hear him calling my name in a confused haze. I'm smiling at Bobby the whole time.

"Ally?" Ben asks one more time.

I stop in front of Bobby and turn to face a stunned Ben.

"That's it? That's all you have for me. I'm not going to lie, Bartender Ben, I really expected more from you. I was hoping you'd slam me against that wall and shove your tongue in my mouth, leaving me waiting and breathless. Instead, I get a closed mouth kiss that tastes a lot like stale cigarettes and last a nanosecond." I pout.

"Wait. What?" Ben is trying to process my words.

"Oh, shit." Bobby snickers.

I turn from him and make my way to the final step. Glancing over my shoulder, I tease him. "Maybe Jack will be a better kisser."

"Boy...you're going to let her walk away and hang with those douchemonsters?" I hear Bobby ask him.

Quickly, I find the table my roommates pick, it was across the room from the bar. Heather looks at me with a questioning glance while I stand in the doorway. I didn't want to join them, but I didn't have anywhere else to go.

Slowly, I take the only seat left at the table, the chair next to Jack. The man staring at me with a perverted smile on his face and the hunger evident all over his face.

"You guys didn't even thank Ben for getting you this table...hell up to this room," I scold them all.

"I think it's the least he could have done. He could give us free drinks all night and that might make him more likeable." Beth says to me.

He already did that.

"And what about him is unlikable?" I ask her curious.

"He's a townie. Allyson, you go to Harvard, and you shouldn't be wasting your time on local boys." She tells me.

"He's not the one I'm wasting time on." I mutter under my breath.

Looking towards the direction of the bar, I see him starting at me, and I want nothing more at that moment than for him to take me away from this.

I was done waiting for the good parts in life to happen. Tonight, I was going to make sure that he left with me. No matter his warnings, I wanted him. Nothing could stop me when I wanted something as bad as this urge.
