After two hours of weak drinks and sloppy drunk company, I was bored and wanting to go home. John walks to the table with a giant tray of drinks and hands me my drink first. I'm positive that it is cranberry juice, with a dash of vodka. Ben has been mixing mine soft the whole night up here. He wants me to be miserable.
"So," Grace leans over in her chair and slurs in my ear, "how do you like Jack?"
She is such a sloppy drunk and it annoys me. Her smoky eye makeup was smudged into dark raccoon eyes. Her crown was off to the side of her head and tangled into her messy hair. She looks like a trainwreck, and she needs to be put to bed.
Grabbing Grace's drink from the tray, I look at Ben before pounding the liquid. When I drop the heavy glass back to the table, I look at the glaring bartender across the room and give him a thumbs up. The screwdriver was all alcohol. Next, I take Beth's shot of tequila and swallow the burning liquid without making a face. I hate shots.
My body begins to swim with buzzy feelings and lightness. I smile as the feeling of nothingness ices my veins. Turning my attention back to Grace, I smile. "I'm not looking to hook up with Jack. He's definitely not my type, not that you would know."
Grace looks appalled. "Allyson, you can't be serious? He plays football and he's getting his damn masters right away; he's going to be SUPER RICH." She hiccups in my face.
All of my roommates have their entire year planned, they feel I need to be fast-tracked on the same plan. Each of them hopes for rings before graduation this spring, I didn't want or need a ring. I wasn't even sure if I want marriage in the future. They want a husband, kids, and money. I want a law degree, my independence, and a life. I have my own money to spend if I want to.
I close my eyes, count to ten. I need to get away from this table before I rip all of them in half with my wicked tongue. I push myself from the table and stand. I'm leaving, they won't even notice.
"Oh no! My drink is empty." I say to the table.
Everyone is completely hammered and barely able to stand. Jack grins his toothy, obnoxious grin at me. I want to punch him.
"Allyson, I'll get you another drink," he slurs.
Holding my hand out to him, I shake my head no. I want nothing to do with Jack. I hurry to the bar, glaring at Ben the entire way. With every step closer to him, the faster my heart beats. His scowl only makes my insides burn for him. A fight starts across the room that grabs everyone's attention, when I turn back towards the bar, Ben is gone.
Annoyance is an understatement to describe my feelings. I start towards the bathroom before calling myself a cab back to the house.
The hallway is dark, and a strong pair of arms wrap around my waist. I'm being pulled to a dark corner of the VIP section. I fight against the person holding me, demanding they let me go. The grip doesn't loosen, so I put an elbow into their ribcage and hear the groan behind me.
"Jesus. IT'S ME. Ally, it's Ben." He moans in pain before setting me down on my feet.
I whip around the face him. He's holding his ribs and grinning. I push hard at his chest while yelling at him for scaring me. He reaches for me, pulls me into his chest, and wraps those amazing arms around me. My hands run up his chest and stop at his shoulder length brown hair, I twist it around my fingers. My other hand races up his arm and stops at his face.
"Ben?" I whisper. I'm about to apologize for hitting him.
"Shut up." He smiles at me.
Ben takes charge and pushes me against the wall. My body turns into liquid with his glance at me. "Do you know how beautiful you are?" He whispers near my lips.
"I'm just a girl drooling over a boy." I smirk.
"Allyson, I'm tired of trying to stay away from you." He looks in pain while he shares.
"So, don't. Ben, I'm a big girl and I want you." I whisper.
His arms travel up my waist and stop just under my breasts. With my eyes, I beg him to not stop, but he's a gentleman. I feel his arms moving to my neck, and his fingers pull my hood down. My blonde hair falls around my shoulders, it's damp from sweating. Ben's fingers lace throughout the blonde mess.
Opening my lips slightly to breathe, he takes advantage and bites my bottom lip softly before kissing me with a purpose. My lips tingle, and I open my mouth the invite him in. Slowly, he pushes his tongue forward, and mine meets his for a sweet dance. I whimper into his mouth. Ben is a fantastic kisser.
This is what I expected in our first kiss.
This kiss didn't disappoint me.
When we break apart, he is grinning at me. Two cute dimples appear on each cheek, and I just want his lips on me again. I'm in a daze and mumbling words that make no sense. Ben starts laughing, he grabs my hands that are rubbing his torso up and down and places his forehead on mine.
Blushing with embarrassment, I start to pull away from him. Ben shakes his head, "please don't stop. I like your hands on me." He whispers.
"Maybe you should touch me?" I look at him.
"Ally, you have no idea how much I want to."
"Come home with me tonight. You can't deny the chemistry we have. We can sneak out right now, and no one will notice. Please. I will beg. This is what I want." I promise him.
He laughs. "I'm working."
"I can wait, or we can go somewhere in this club." I offer.
I need his touch more than anything at the moment. I tilt my head back and invite him back for another round of kissing, he doesn't disappoint. I don't want to stop now they we have started. I want all of him.
"Ally, you are trouble. I lose all common sense around you. You have no idea how much I want to peel you out of that suit and make you scream my name." He purrs close to my ear.
"I should warn you, I'm a very jealous and possessive person. I don't share and I don't play nice."
His blue eyes look into mine. "I'm well aware that you don't play nice...I'll have the bruises to prove it."
Grinning, I tuck his hair behind his ears. "You scared me."
"I'm also possessive. I already see you as mine and I protect what's mine, Ally." He growls low and my body fills with electrical currents.
We barely know each other, and he was already claiming me. Some girls would fear this confession, but I wasn't. I want Ben to claim me. I want him to possess everything about me. He is exactly what I have been waiting for. I've been alone for so long, waiting for the right person that I could count on.
"Show me?" I challenge him.
Ben dips down for my lips again, his hands slide down the latex suit and rest protectively on my bottom. Grinning, I open my mouth for him again and close my eyes. No amounts of alcohol have ever made me feel this light. I felt like I was floating, and he was the anchor keeping me grounded.
I can't remember the last time I was this happy.
"Give me an hour." He whispers on my lips.
"And then you'll come home with me?" I ask hopeful.
"I'll come home with you." He smiles.
Nodding at him, we release the embrace we have on each other. I start walking back to the table. He grabs my hand and twirls me back to his body for one more kiss. I warn him that he better stop or I won't give him an hour. Laughing, he lets me go and I walk back to the table, completely smitten with Bartender Ben and his fantastic lips.
