"Okay, breathing under water for an hour, that certainly is a tough one" Lacy mumbled as she walked back from the prefect's bathroom, a towel wrapped around her waist as her wet hair cling onto her neck and shoulders, she had been under the water with Harry (in their Swimming clothes, you nasties). "Pure blood"
She entered the common room with a curious look in her face, holding her clothes in one hand as she began to walk towards the stairs.
"What are you wearing?" A voice questioned with a sneer, and she spun around quickly to see Pansy sat on the sofa with Blaise, the pair that she didn't want to run into.
"Swim suit" Lacy responded quickly, and she looked down, suddenly feeling self conscious. "Okay, I didn't do whatever you think I was doing, I was with Harry—"
"Of course you were" Blaise spoke, seeking rather rude, and Pansy snapped her head over to the agitated boy in shock.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Lacy questioned back, her voice rising slightly as she didn't expect that sort of tone coming from him of all people. She placed her hand on her waist as she watched him expectedly.
"You're always with Harry, did you forget that we're your friends too?" Blaise asked, standing up sharply as he argues with her, and her face went tinted red with anger.
"What does that mean? He is my friend and I know you guys are too, Harry has just been needing me more for help with the tournament. We found out where the egg needs to open, nothing else happened" Lacy clarified, and she was confused as to why they hated the idea of her dating Harry—she could do a lot worse—and they weren't even dating anyway!
"Congratulations" Blaise said bitterly, and Lacy let out a small huff of confusion and frustration.
"I don't get why that bothers you Blaise, even if I was dating him—or whatever you suspect me of doing—it would be fine, because you have no control over my life!" Lacy snapped at him, and Pansy let out a huge sigh on the sofa, moving slightly at the tension that was currently in the room, she hated arguments. "I'm going to go get dry and get ready for bed, I'll see you whenever you've lost that snippy attitude"
With that, Lacy stormed away, leaving Blaise to sigh in frustration and run the back of his neck slightly as he sunk back onto the sofa.
"Dude" Pansy stated from the next to him, and he looks back at her. "You messed up"
For the next day the group had been strained, since half of them were agreeing with Lacy and the others just didn't really care, Pansy and Draco hung around with Lacy, the trio in the library constantly as Lacy was researching for the tournament."For an hour? Wonder what they have to find..." Pansy muses as she leans back in her chair, having just finished her potions homework, Draco was still scribbling opposite her—wanting finish all his homework now so he didn't have any for later.
"Treasure? Maybe something important to them" Lacy suggested, slamming a book shut and pushing it aside before she grabbed another, she had become another Hermione whilst trying to help her friends.
"You read so fast" Pansy commented as she leaned back forth, seeing Lacy eyes eyes skimming through the texts quickly, before she was flipping the pages over just as fast, not letting a judging slow her down. "Kind of jealous"
"Well, what can I say, I'm worried about Harry" Lacy mumbled, chewing on her lip slightly as she flicked away another page, her eyes moving all over the words as she tried to find what she needed.
"I'm worried for you, you've blown off Blaise, you're reading more than Granger, not forgetting about how you're always reading, barely eating or sleeping" Pansy spoke softly, watching her friend wording out random things as she went, the girls bags under her eyes were a mess, her hair was constantly pinned up so she didn't bother with it and her clothes were wrinkled. "You continue with this and I'll message your mum"
Lacy stopped reading and slowly looked up at Pansy, "you wouldn't"
