"Unbreakable Vow?" Lacy repeated what Harry has asked her. "I can try and look into it, but I'm Hermione would do a lot better at the job than me" She folded her arms as she leaned back in the compartment she was sat in.
"You think Severus Snape took one with Bellatrix LeStrange?" Sylvia questioned on the other side of the compartment, that would be Sylvia's biological mother and Lacy's biological father...it couldn't get anymore messed up. "If they've made a vow then Snape can't break it, otherwise he dies"
"But has there ever been any record of someone breaking the vow, so that there's no longer any vow?" Harry tried again, Sylvia quickly shaking her head in disbelief as Lacy tried to go over things in her head.
"I'll look into it Harry" Lacy promised him, as she took ahold of his hand. "But if you're right about this...you know that means that Draco is now a death eater and he's been given a job to do within the school?"
"Yes" Harry nodded, "I know what I saw..."
"I'm not going against you Harry, it's just, everything is changing" Lacy begins, "and now everyone is going to be picking sides, we never know who can turn on us, either out of loyalty or fear, both are dangerous in war"
"I know, Lacy" Harry squeezed her hand slightly before he pulled away and stood up. "I've got to go back, hopefully Lavender isn't there when I get there"
"I'll cross my fingers for you" Lacy smiles sweetly, watching as Harry slowly leaves the compartment reluctantly before her head spun quickly to Sylvia, who looked as if she was dreading existence. "This didn't going to end well, I can feel it"
"Well, Malfoy has chosen his side" Sylvia spoke in a monotone voice about her cousin, the look on her face was unreadable but Lacy knew that the girl was in despair.
"Draco wouldn't choose it, it has to be because of his father being locked up" Lacy offers, she's determined to try and save all her friends. "We can't give up just because he has"
"He's chosen" Sylvia states again, this time more final and demanding. She stands up abruptly and walks towards the door, turning around before she goes or open it. "I'm going to see Pansy in the bathroom, we agreed to exchange gifts hidden away from prying eyes, I'll see you on the station"
Lacy frowns as she's left alone and leans back against her chair in almost-defeat, she didn't want to loose hope, especially if the worst hasn't even happened yet.
"Mum!" Lacy grinned in excitement as she dived into her mums open arms, who embraced her quickly and rocked her slightly. "I've missed you!""I missed you too, darling" Ruth smiled as she had her daughter in her arms again, before she looked over her shoulder to see Sylvia walking over to the pair. "Sylvia, love, come on!" She gestured for the girl to join in on the jug, who quickly pushed her luggage towards Zach, who caught it with a struggle, before she ran into the arm that Ruth held out to catch her.
The three girls laughed as they hugged each other before Ruth pulled back and looked over them both, complimenting them on how they both got even more beautiful.
"Mum" Lacy whines at the amount of love her mum was handing out, "you're acting strange, what's going on?"
"Well," Ruth paused with a guilty expression, "you're....well, Professor Snape is going to come over on Christmas Day to visit you" Lacy face dropped at the words.
