"It was horrible" Evan stated as they stood in the Room Of Requirements, he held his wand up as he constantly tried to repeat the spell that Ginny was teaching. It had officially been two months in school and everyone was excited to be home for the holidays. Apart from Lacy who didn't really have anywhere to stay and just decide she was going to go home with Ginny. "He had spent the whole lesson talking about why the cruciartus is his favourite spell"

Lacy grimaced at the thought of the curse, she had seen it tole on Kathy Wood and Rosie Deaver, not forgetting Neville's parent, Frank and Alice, as well.

"Don't do what Neville did though" Lacy told the boy, she had spent a few days trying rid the scar that Neville now had on his hand from using the special quill that the male Carrow had made him use when Neville had shouted out why the Unforgivable curses were horrible. No matter what, Neville wasn't backing off, and punishments just kept getting worse and worse.

Lacy had managed to get the words on his hand to fade away into almost nothing but some bruises, something she was very proud of herself for.

"More of a swish, Evan" Ginny passed the pair, sending smiles before she walked over to the next two nearby. "Neville, ease up, we don't know if your hand is fully healed"

"I'm telling you Ginny, Lacy has made it next to nothing" Brooklyn cut in, making Lacy fluster slightly when those who had heard flashed their attention over to her. "His hand isn't even scarring anymore"

"Wicked" Taylor breathed out with wide and adventurous eyes, it reminded Lacy of herself now, she couldn't see it when Ginny first pointed it out but all the signs were there now.

"More clearly" Brooklyn pointed at a third year Slytherin who seemed to be in a damp mood. "Hey, you okay?" She surprised that Slytherin's by asking if they were okay.

"Yeah..." he trailed off, "just had muggle studies today" the witch nodded in understanding and gave his shoulder a squeeze of encouragement.

"It's okay to be afraid sometimes, we're all human after all" Brooklyn says softly, another side of her being revealed. "We're all the same underneath all the masks and magic" she gives the kid another quick squeeze in his shoulder before she goes off to find Neville.

"Do you love anyone like that?" Evan quizzed when he had noticed the connection between Neville and Brooklyn, his eyes were wide with excitement, wanting to know if his older sister figure had love herself. "Like Neville and Brooklyn??"

Lacy glanced at the pair shortly before she looked over to where Blaise was trying to help a young Hufflepuff with her wand movements, "yes, I think so, but it's just never been the right time for it" She looks back to Evan.

"I thought there was no perfect timing for things like love?" Evan tilted his head in confusion, making Lacy sigh softly at him.

"Doesn't matter anyway, because right now my main job is to look after all of you" Lacy smiles, brushing some of his hair out of his face before she stands up straight again. "Now, try the spell again, I have a feeling that you're very close"

"I think he likes you the same way" Evan whispers over to her, and her eyes widen in shock before she glanced over again to where Blaise is already looking at her, but she snaps her head back again to Evan. "Right, the spell"

"Just try and not whack it around so much, it's supposed to be a smooth movement" Lacy recites the words that Hermione had told her in their first year.
